If you’re planning a tour in Jiuzhaigou, BOOK THIS TOUR!! We had the pleasure of being driven by Mr. Li and chose to pay extra for an English-speaking guide. We are so glad we did, and we wholeheartedly recommend this option to everyone. While it’s possible to navigate the parks independently, you’ll miss out on the rich history, insider tips, directions, and deep knowledge that a great guide provides. Our guide, Jack, was hands down the BEST guide we’ve EVER had on any tour in China. We’ve visited China multiple times and booked many private tours, but Jack truly stands out. He struck the perfect balance between giving us time to explore on our own and joining us to share fascinating information. He answered every question and pointed out details we would have otherwise missed. The tour operator, Lily, was also very kind, checking in with us and making sure we had everything we needed both before and after the trip. Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong are incredibly special places, and with Jack, Mr. Li, and Lily, they became even more unforgettable.

Lily was so responsive in helping me organize a seamless last-minute trip to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, especially during the Labor Day holiday. Once there, my driver, Mr. Li, took great care of me. He is extremely professional and kind and made several stops at Tibetan villages at my request in addition to the main attractions. Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong are must visit places in China. We have a wonderful half day Huanglong and full day Jiuzhaigou tour. The driver assigned to us were helpful, punctual and has a very good driving skill, it was very important because we have to catch an early train almost 150 km away from our hotel. Small thing that can be improved was the cleanliness of the car (some used tissue papers were left in the car). Thank you.

I actually planned my trip to Jiuzhagou and Huanglong, leaving from Chengdu, in October, but the Covid got me first so I had to change plan. I decided to hire a car with driver for Dagu Glacier and Bipeng Valley in November instead. The trip was fantastic and I'm not disappointed. Mr. Xu, the driver, did a good job driving and taking care of me, buying me park tickets, ordering food, and giving me some advice for the park visit. Dagu is amazing as the cable car takes care of the climbing for you, but do not overestimate and exert yourself as the oxygen level is so low due to high elevation, almost 5 km! Bipenggou is spectacular, reminding me of my favorite place on earth, Yading. Although it may be a bit smaller in scale perhaps, but it's much easier to get to, with the new and modern highway. Kudos to China for making it easier to access Western Sichuan! BTW, many thanks to Lily Chen from WestChinaGo for helping to accommodate this trip for me.

It was a splendid trip and as a foreigner I must say that the help and support of supervisor were incredible. Everything became very easy with her help. The driver was very nice, took us to the parks, waited us all day long and also was very supportive. The places definitely worth seeing! Though I traveled a lot, I really enjoyed what I’ve seen!

When arranging a trip by yourself in China, there are various restrictions for foreigners, and there are confusing local rules such as advance reservations, so I often run into trouble when I get there, but I asked them to help me reduce the risk of limited opportunities. Although it is a cheap local tour company, they provide detailed support in English, so even if you don't understand Chinese, you can leave it to them with peace of mind. There is no need to bother negotiate the price of taxis, etc., and the prices are reasonable. You can get advice in advance, and on the day, I received timely support via WeChat, which helped me a lot by solving my problems.
