Sakis was a fantastic driver who was super kind, and informative and who drove us around to some amazing places! He recommended Zorba’s Cafe for a delicious lunch and it did not disappoint! He also bought our family ice cream while we were at Stavros Beach, which was a fantastic swimming beach. We also saw a beautiful monastery, the stunning area of Seitan Limania, the famous graves, and the fortress of Aptera for an incredible sunset view. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour and I would book another excursion with Sakis as our driver without hesitation! We had an amazing day!!!!!

Leonardis is a perfect tour guide. He’s incredibly knowledgable about all the sights. We even saw a few sights not on the list. He took extra precautions to be safe driving and otherwise. Leonardis also gave us plenty of family time and took our photos at all the points of interest. It crossed my mind to rent a car and try to get to two beaches, two Monasteries and two fortresses but I know I would have NEVER been patient enough to drive in and out of Chania traffic and the very tight one lane mountain regions. We booked a private Akrotiri tour while visiting Crete from our cruise ship, and it ended up being the highlight of our trip. Our guide met us right at the port, super friendly and knowledgeable, and tailored the day perfectly to our pace. We explored beautiful viewpoints, quiet local spots, and even stopped at a seaside taverna for one of the best meals of our cruise. The car was comfortable, the timing worked perfectly with our ship schedule, and we never felt rushed. It felt personal, authentic, and perfectly balanced between sightseeing and relaxation. A really enjoyable experience overall. The monastery has a calm and unique vibe that makes it feel very special. We stopped by Zorbas beach early in the day, which turned out to be the perfect time — not too crowded and really peaceful. The view from the Venizelos spot above Chania is absolutely stunning, especially on a clear day. Definitely a trip worth taking.
