An interesting way to get to know a city. The commentary was creative and helped to learn more about the surroundings. It was easy to find the places explained by the guide, the voice was pleasant, and there was enough explanation for each place. Obviously it does not replace an in-person guide, due to the ease of asking questions, but for a place where it was not easy to find a guided tour, it was a good solution.
Nos alegra saber que el audioguía fue una buena solución para descubrir Carcasona. Qué bien que la ruta resultara clara, la narración agradable y los comentarios interesantes. Esperamos acompañarle de nuevo con TouringBee en otra ciudad y, quién sabe, quizá conseguir esa quinta estrella.

The guide is not great in addition to being paid. Several important information and places are missing. There is a more complete application guide available free of charge and accessible on your smartphone. Check with the Carcassonne Tourist Office
On dirait que vous avez fait un vrai “comparatif de guides” sur le terrain 😄 Notre audioguide n’essaie pas d’être une encyclopédie complète (sinon la balade durerait 3 jours et nécessiterait un sac de couchage 🏕️), mais plutôt un compagnon agréable qui raconte l’essentiel avec des anecdotes et un parcours fluide. C’est vrai qu’il existe d’autres applications — chacun peut choisir selon son style : certains préfèrent tout savoir, d’autres préfèrent profiter de la balade sans se transformer en historien officiel de Cité de Carcassonne 😉 En tout cas, on est ravis que vous ayez exploré la ville (avec ou sans nous).
Download the content just before you start. Having another map handy helps too. I used Google maps but you can get a free paper map from the tourism office. The content of this tour is excellent and I’d recommend as a good way to familiarise yourself with the area. The historical content, very interesting. I’ll be using the app associated with this tour again.

This tour using the TouringBee app starts across the river from the castle/fort at Carcassonne at the Musée des Beaux Arts which is definitely worth visiting. Then we are guided across the bridge and all around the walled Medieval fortress. It was great to fill in some historical, cultural and religious context. Those Crusaders certainly were ruthless!
