Ahmed was an amazing tour guide! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience both fun and educational. My husband and I had such a great time, and I actually booked this tour as part of my husband’s birthday celebration. Since he’d basically become a local, we weren’t sure how much new we’d learn, but Ahmed still made the experience engaging and shared interesting history and facts that we both enjoyed. Absolutely recommend for anyone visiting Cairo!! Shorouk was an incredible guide and I also feel like a left with a new friend 💕 We took the tour with my husband and 3 kids (ages 5-14) plus my mom and stepfather, and it was perfect for all ages. We learned so much about Egyptian food (even got to watch much of it made from scratch!) but also learned even more about Egyptian culture and lifestyle. The food was delicious! My mom was worried she wouldn't like anything and she ended up liking EVERYTHING. I can't recommend this tour and this wonderful family enough ♥️

Ahmed is amazing! Do not leave Cairo without taking this food tour. It truly is an amazing experience getting to know the culture through food but also the company of Ahmed. He goes above and beyond, always making sure you are satisfied. He also provides recipes afterwards if you ask for them. This is one of the best tours in Cairo and it is a must for everyone that wants to delve more into the culture, while witnessing such warming family environment. With Ahmed and Shorouk, and their daughters, we felt at home. They welcomed us with open arms and we really saw how passionate they are about what they do. Their kindness is inspiring! Regarding the food, it will 100% be the best food you will taste in Cairo! They took us to multiple restaurants and we had the opportunity to taste very flavorful, well-done food!! Last but not least, there is no food waste! We were able to take home everything we couldn’t eat! Overall, a 10000/10 experience! Words can’t express how much we enjoyed spending time with this beautiful family!

Fantastic tour! Definitely go hungry! Everyone will be full by the end of it and none of the food goes to waste. The perfect way to try various Egyptian food. An amazing price for the experience. The tour took about three hours. It was just the two of us and the guides (Ahmed and Shorouk, who are some of the friendliest people you will meet). They told us about the food, what we were walking past, Egyptian culture, etc. etc. They knew a lot about history as well and were more than well equipped to answer any questions we had. Genuinely one of our favorite experiences in Cairo. They made us feel like family!!

We had a fantastic time. This tour was exactly what we were hoping for and delivered on everything it promised. The food was excellent, but what really made it special was getting to spend the evening with a local family and experience a side of Cairo we never would have seen otherwise. Our host was friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned a ton about the food, culture, and everyday life in Egypt, and never felt like we were just being rushed from one stop to the next. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Cairo. If you want an authentic experience instead of just another tourist activity, this is it.

This is the best tour you can take in Cairo. Ahmed was vey kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about the city and Egypt. He was extremely accommodating and obviously does this because he believes in the mission. The tour was a great way to see the local side of the city that we likely otherwise wouldn't have been able to, and we learned more about Egyptian culture on this tour than we did in our whole time in Cairo. This should be #1 on your list of things to do in Cairo!
