Delicious, passionate, fun
What a lovely cooking class. I wanted to really understand some traditional and common foods of Mexico and Puebla and I got that and so much more. As a former chef I still love food but my passion for it has changed in the last couple years. Alisa and chef Alonso were caring, knowledgeable, and passionate about the food we were making and the culture it surrounded. It was the first time in years that food has made me emotional and it was beautiful. Delicious flavors. True chalupas. This is no Taco Bell!!! First we went to a near by famous market to learn about and choose out ingredients. Back in the kitchen we learned about techniques and flavors. The most important thing… time. Taking the time for the flavors to build. I cannot wait to receive photos and come back to learn more.

Mole Poblano, Two Types of Salsas, and Chalupas
It was nice that we all went to a local market in the morning to get ingredients for this class. In the cooking session, the chef kindly showed us tips and techniques of Salsas and Moles as well as its process. An assistant lady was an excellent interpreter from Español to English. The Mole with chicken breast was turned out to be very delicious. I guess all ingredients that we used for this cooking class were very fresh.
They told that a tour coordinator would be sending me all recipes after the class. However, I haven’t heard from them yet at all.
If you are interested in local culinary with a cooking experience, I think this is the one you want to book.

We had a great experience learning to cook chalupas and mole! Did a short tour of the local market to buy the ingredients! We learned a lot and the recipes were easy enough for us to replicate at home! Highly recommend!!
