Matthew was obviously a history and Boston enthusiast. He had so much to share and was able to answer most of our questions. It was a great experience for our friend who was visiting our great city for the very first time.

Great tour, Kenneth brought the history of Boston to life and skilfully took us through the early days of the city to the independence movement and beyond. Would thoroughly recommend this as a way to see the freedom trail.

Great guide - super interesting

This was an excellent tour and a breath of fresh air. I went on another tour with my wife back in April. It was revisionist history at its best. I was skeptical about this tour, but I was back in town with my youngest son and wanted him to experience Boston's Freedom Trail. I signed up with the Boston History Company, and it did not disappoint. Our guide was knowledgeable and fair. She wasn't anti-American, nor was she always looking to take cheap historical shots at cultural beliefs that were not her own. Yet, she was not afraid of the bad and the ugly. Nor did she shy away from celebrating the good and beautiful. As an historian and headmaster of a private school, I was pleased with her knowledge, presentation, and overall demeanor to history of Boston.

Our guide for this 2.5 hour walking tour was great, and she gave us an awesome overview of the colonial history of Boston. I only give this tour 4 stars for two reasons. 1) Completing the route in 2.5 hours required setting a decent walking pace. Part of my family group was an older (60-ish) couple who often fell behind and would miss the beginning of the story at each stop. 2) Our tour group had 33 people, exceeding the 25 max in the description. This may have been the result of an uneven split between two guides. If you got stuck at the edge of the group at a stop, it could be difficult to hear the guide, even though she projected her voice well.

Interesting, very walkable and hits all the spots.

Eliot was an excellent tour guide, deftly managing a large group through the crowds, answering every question, naturally projecting her voice, keeping us smiling throughout the entire tour with relevant jokes and anecdotes. Obvious she was also enjoying the tour.

This was a great tour. You can tell the guide really loves Boston. Meeting was a challenge because the email received did not have a photo of the spot- it was a blank space without the photo- so we had to call & missed the first few minutes and never heard what the guides name was.

2.5 hour walking tour along the freedom trail with lots of interesting historical information - Stewart was an informative guide with a great personality. He wove the stories together in an interesting way- all in all a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend his tour!
