Must experience for both the history and the food combined in one.
We had just arrived that morning on a cruise ship from Iceland. We thought that we had plenty of time to get to the tour. However, US CBP decided that all passengers needed to do a 'face-to-face' interview before leaving the ship. Both the ship and CBP did a very good job of minimizing the impact.
After retrieving our luggage, we 'learned' that the Boston Port Authority makes life difficult for passengers that want to use Uber and Lyft. The taxi union lobby is powerful. We had to walk half the length of the pier to get to a line where we awaited a small coach (think airport rental car transport) to take us to an offsite parking lot so that we could request our rideshare.
We got to our hotel which permitted us to check-in at 10:30 am so that we could drop-off our luggage.
We contacted the trip provider to notify them about our delay. Minutes later, I received a call from our guide. I told him that Uber said that we would be arriving 3 minutes late. He met us at the curb, and all went well thereafter.
Our guide was OUTSTANDING.
My wife and I both enjoyed the history lessans, and our guide selected exceptional food venues. As food is my primary love language, I know good food when I eat it.
We are both VERY senior citizens. The guide and other participants could have been our children. However, the chemistry was exceptional between all the participants. This definitely added to the joy of the day.

Dan is the man!
I am sure everyone says Dan is the man. This was a great food tour and he made it even better. History anecdotes, humor, fun, not rushed. probably the most chill food tour I have experienced. Highly recommend!!!

Of course it is always...
Of course it is always the guide that makes or breaks a trip and our guide, Dan, made this an exceptional tour. Dan had a great repore with all the restaurants and this made for a fun and delicious day. The pace of the tour was leisurely which gave us time to get to know the other members of our group and also provided us with opportunities to pick Dans wealth of knowledge about the Boston area and other great restaurants to visit.
This could not have been a better experience!

Great food and tour
Dan was great. Even with just two of us signed up he shared nuggets of history, gave great food recommendations and of course took us to four great food locations. Chowder, lobster roll, oysters and Cannolis were fantastic. Touring the chart house restaurant was a highlight and his overall general knowledge of the area was fun to hear. And thanks for all the recommendations on food locations in Maine!

Perfect!
Nice stroll through Boston and some great history along the way. Food was on point and the chowder is worth the tour. Dan was funny and kept everyone engaged. Highly recommend this tour.

Good food with a bit of history
Loved the small group experience-only 10 of us with our guide Dan. He kept us on a good pace. We had plenty of time to enjoy each food stop. All the tastings were great. The only suggestion I would make is on the Quincy Hall walkthrough. It was very crowded and while interesting, served mainly as an air-conditioned passage to Faneuil Hall. Perhaps if time permitted, a stop at one of the concessions for a taste. Otherwise, Quincy Hall could be omitted from walk-through. Happy that Dan picked up the cannoli for the group rather than we all walk back to our starting point together for dessert. Overall, Dan provided a great experience for us.
