There is not much to say against the trip, it is well planned and visits the best places in the north of Chiapas. All of them are beautiful and worthy of knowing each other. Some data should be taken into account: Travel time from San Cristobal de las Casas is 5 hours, so departure is scheduled at 4 am and return is around 10 pm. The roads in the area are very winding and with little maintenance, so it is not comfortable at all because of the type of vehicle used (14 passengers). This size of vehicle and rough drivingp causes many people to have dizziness and stomach upsets. On our trip, the poor condition of the roads caused a tire to strike out. The problem was that the operator did not have access to the spare tire, so we were stranded on the side of the road, in an area without telefinco or internet access, until 12 at night, when another support vehicle arrived, which allowed us to reach San Cristobal at 2:30 in the morning. It should be noted that we had previously been held for an hour at a National Guard checkpoint because the transport vehicle DID NOT HAVE plates or a movement permit. Fortunately I do not pass to older people, but it is a huge risk that a group of tourists, made up of young women and men, and senior citizens, will be detained on a Sunday morning in an isolated area, known for roadside assaults Our trip was taken by the Passion for Chiapas Enterprise, part of the Passion for Travel group. Admittedly, driver Alexis did his best to fix the problems, but this situation was beyond his reach. Conclusion: Meeting Chiapas is a great experience. It has beautiful places and people are very friendly, with deseps to help. Just find a good travel operator, serious and recommended.
