現在マーチャント ホテルとなっているこの場所には、かつてジョージ コーウィンの家がありました。彼は 1692 年にエセックス郡の最高保安官を務め、裁判の無実の犠牲者の逮捕状と処刑令状に署名する責任を負っていました。彼は人々の私物を奪い、自宅で数人を拷問しているところを捕まりました。
魔女の家は、1692 年の魔女裁判に直接関係するセイラムの唯一の現存する建物です。ここはジョナサン コーウィン判事の家です。彼はこの家でハソーン判事と会合し、誰が魔女である可能性があるかについて話し合っていました。この家は 1660 年代に建てられました。

The vampira is a funny and heartwarming tour guide. She cares about her group of tourists. She was very careful to stop the cars so we could pass the crosswalk.save Salem!!! Please do not sell Salem’s history. We would never have fun unless you have your tour guides. I love the old homes.

The vampira had a wonderful tour. We loved it! She made it so fun! The crowd was small and we were all women. It was a little expensive but I’m glad she could tell us where all the businesses are. Save Salem! We went to Salem for one day. This tour is not for young kids under 16. Beautiful town of Salem. I love the witch shop and museum. Two days would be better. We only spent the afternoon there. Rockafellas was so good. Real good food.

I think I would have received more detailed and presentation of information if I did a self guided tour.
