Trip was highly informative our guide had full knowledge of everything to do with Olympia . Would use again

False advertising. Save your money. You will not False Advertising, Poor Communication, and Terrible Customer Service I booked the Best Olympia Tour for Cruise Passengers from Katakolon Port specifically because it advertised four distinct experiences: * The Archaeological Site of Olympia * The Archaeological Museum of Olympia * One full hour in the village of Olympia to shop, explore, and enjoy the town * Transportation back to the port The itinerary clearly states that guests will spend one hour in Olympia village. That was one of the main reasons I chose this tour over simply hiring a taxi to the archaeological site. Instead, after visiting the archaeological site and museum, we were taken directly back to Katakolon. We never visited Olympia village at all. When I questioned our guide, she admitted she had never been informed that there was supposed to be an hour in Olympia. The guide had no idea we were supposed to spend an hour in Olympia. This wasn’t caused by traffic, weather, or an unforeseen circumstance. It was simply poor communication between the company and its guides. When I contacted the operator, they hid behind the disclaimer that itineraries “may be adjusted.” That clause is clearly intended for unavoidable circumstances—not as permission to remove 50% of the advertised itinerary without informing customers in advance. Missing an entire advertised stop is not a minor adjustment. It’s delivering a different product than the one that was sold. To make matters worse, Viator’s support was equally disappointing. The support agent was dismissive, offered no meaningful assistance, and showed little interest in the fact that the tour did not match the advertised itinerary. Rather than advocating for the customer or investigating the discrepancy, I was essentially brushed aside. Had I known we would skip Olympia village entirely, I never would have booked this excursion. I would have hired a private taxi and had far more flexibility for about the same cost. This experience felt like classic bait-and-switch marketing: advertise a more comprehensive tour, then quietly omit one of the highlights while relying on fine print to avoid accountability. I requested a 50% refund because we only received roughly half of the experience that influenced our purchasing decision. Between the misleading itinerary, the guide being unaware of what was actually sold, and the dismissive customer service afterward, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I would not recommend this tour or Viator’s customer support based on how this situation was handled. Buyers deserve accurate descriptions and companies that take responsibility when they fail to deliver what they advertise.

Theodora was a brilliant guide, proving to be extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Definitely would recommend this tour as it provided a brilliant mix of history and free time. Definitely a tour for people who are able to walk distance.

As per most of the other historical tours you take you need to have a medium level of fitness to ensure you get the most out of the tour. Our guide/host Theodora had plenty of information to explain what we where viewing and answered all questions professionally. The only issue we experienced was the lack of respect shown by some of the tourists in our group towards Theodora. It was clear that they weren't prepared for the conditions of the day.

Very disappointed that the tour was cut short and rushed due to groups turning up late at commencement of tour. We left up to 40mins late and did not have the chance to explore the town as it was in your itinerary. The tour guide should not have allowed late comers onto the bus. We had to wait in the bus too long. I would request a partial refund given the circumstances of not fulfilling our expectations .

We had a wonderful experience with Theodora during our visit to Olympia. She was incredibly knowledgeable and explained the archaeological site in a clear, engaging, and informative way. We learned so much throughout the tour, and her passion for the history of Olympia really enhanced the experience. What we appreciated most was her patience and kindness. We were part of a very large group coming from multiple cruise ships, which can be challenging to manage, but she handled everything professionally and made sure everyone could follow along. The audio guide system was excellent and allowed us to hear every explanation clearly, which made a huge difference throughout the tour. There were a few minor logistical issues during the day, but they were related to transportation and not to Theodora. She managed the situation very well, kept everyone informed, and ensured that we arrived on time. In the end, the inconveniences had no impact on our experience. One suggestion for improvement would be regarding the meeting point information. The map link directed us to the archaeological site itself, while the actual meeting point was the bus parking area outside the site. Although this information was included in the written instructions, it could easily create confusion for travelers who are in a hurry and rely primarily on the map location. We believe it would be more helpful if the map pin directed guests to the actual departure point rather than the archaeological site entrance. If we could make one additional recommendation, it would be to keep the tour groups a bit smaller. With so many people from different cruise ships, the group became difficult to manage at times. A smaller group size would make the experience even more enjoyable, personal, and easier to navigate for everyone involved. Overall, Theodora did an outstanding job, and we would absolutely book a tour with her again. Her knowledge, patience, professionalism, and positive attitude made our visit to Olympia both enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended!

It was a fabulous tour! Antonia was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable & provided a tremendous insight into the history of the ancient grounds. Our best tour of Greece so far!
