ガイドとは、Bluecoat ビル (School Lane, Liverpool L1 3BX) の正門の前で待ち合わせます。

リバプールのロープウォークとして知られるこの魅力的なエリアを探索します。歴史的に帆船のロープ作りの場所であったため、このエリアはそう呼ばれています。
ロープウォーク地区の近くにはキャンベル広場があり、ザ・ブライドウェルには印象的なビクトリア朝のガオールが改装されています。オリジナルの監房の1つ内部を見るチャンスもあります。

ガイドがウォーターフロントを案内して有名なロイヤル アルバート ドックに向かいます。タイタニック号の物語がリバプールの海事史の一部となった経緯と、ドックが都市の発展に重要な役割を果たした経緯を学びます。道に沿って、新旧の傑出した建築物や、ファンの聖地となったビル・フューリーのブロンズ像を見ることができます。
このツアーに参加するビートルズ ファンは、アンドリュー エドワーズが彫刻した素晴らしい象徴的なビートルズ像の横を通りかかるときに、ファブ 4 と一緒にセルフィーを撮るチャンスがあります。
総称して「三美神」と呼ばれるこの建物では、グレード II 指定のキュナード ビルディング、リバプール港ビルディング、そして象徴的なリバー ビルディングの歴史と遺産について学びます。
豊かな歴史を持つキャッスルストリートを歩き、中世とのつながりを今でも見ることができ、美しい建物や建築がフレームになっています。
英国で現存する 18 世紀の市庁舎の中で最も優れたものの 1 つとして知られる、現在のグレード I 指定市庁舎に向かって歩いていくと、1500 年代にまで遡る前身の歴史について聞くことになるでしょう。
Exchange Flags はグレード II に指定されており、その建物は市庁舎に面した素晴らしい中庭を形成しています。第二次世界大戦で重要な役割を果たした歴史を持つ。ネルソン記念碑 1800 年代初頭に建てられたネルソンの大きなブロンズ記念碑もあります。
ダービー広場を通過すると、かつてここにあり、現在はヴィクトリア女王の印象的な記念碑が建てられているリバプール城の歴史について聞くことができます。

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour and we were shown the ‘main attractions’ as well as lots of hidden gems. Carl was a great guide - informative, knowledgeable and personable. We were lucky to have a small group (3) and could ask lots of questions. Highly recommend.

Our Tourguide Pam was really lovely. She knows her city :) We learned a lot about the city and its history. Some things I have never ever heard of before. Its a wolking tour so you need to be able to walk for around 2 hours but I think going on foot through cities is always the best way. Liverpool is a great visit anyway.

We had a very informative and interesting tour of historical and cultural history of Liverpool by Mike. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and had a great affection for Liverpool especially as his ancestors were very much part of this history

We happened to be at the meeting point slightly early due to public transport timing and met the guild for the Beatles tour (we were doing the heritage tour) who was lovely and chatted to us until our guide arrived. Our guide Colleen was delightful, very knowledgeable and, being Liverpudlian, drew on her own life experience to add a personal perspective to the modern history of the city. It was absolutely fascinating and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Colleen kept the pace really well so that we didn't feel overloaded but certainly learned masses. Her depth of knowledge was excellent allowing us to ask more detailed questions about specific topics of interest and if it became too specialist she happily admitted when she had reached the limits of her knowledge (it was a very specific detailed question so no shame!). Would highly recommend.
