Our guide Steven is a very knowledgeable expert in history, and he was extremely interesting. A site that prompts reflection on these atrocities.
Excellent guide, very knowledgeable and personable. We discussed and analyzed facts relating to the topic. We learned a lot.
Our guide Gregor Berger was amazing! Gregor not only gave us a comprehensive history of the concentration camp but also spent time explaining the conditions that led up to the events that took place at the camp. Gregor treated the information with respect and reverence for the victims, memorializing them on every step of our journey. Gregor even tied in the history of post WWII Germany up to today.
Steve our guide was amazing. He was like a friend and made our tour very informative and personal. We were truly shocked at what happened at the camp and it opened our eyes to the events of not so long ago. He took the time to explain key events and showed us old photos as we walked round the camp. He answered so many questions and took him time to help us understand what went on. On the way back he even offered to drop us off at a market which was a lovely touch. We would 100% recommend this tour and if you get Steve as your guide it will be even better. Thank you so much. We will never forget this tour. From Loraine and John from England.
Very educationnel and enriching experience. Steve is an increadebly good historian. His explications are clears and very well documented. He answers our questions with knowledge and accuracy. If you want to visite a concentration camp, I highly recommend this tour.
A very moving experience. Be prepared to shed some tears. Very educational and informative. Tom, our guide was excellent and really knew his stuff. I got quite upset on seeing the pink triangle in one display as my son is gay and it really resonated with me. Tom was very kind and thoughtful, especially as he showed us the memorial to the homosexual victims of the camp. It's not an easy place to visit, but it really helps having a good guide. Was worth paying the extra for the private tour. There were 6 of us, I think it was, taken on the tour so not a big group. We had lots of time to look around and Tom explained everything in great detail. Wear comfortable shoes as lots of walking.
Okay. Much and detailed information on the round. The entire trip takes about 2-3 hours. Little old School with audio devices to borrow against payment (3,5€ per piece). 1 of 2 units run out of power halfway resulting in twice as long time at each information point. This was submitted to the staff of the service center, but only with the answer «entschuldigung». Maybe a general and a more detailed tour would have hosted a nice to be able to choose from?
Excellent Tour By Private Tour guide. Highly recommend. Interesting. Informative. Personable. Attentive to guest needs. Fantastic Tour.
This tour was very worthwhile to learn about how things developed regarding the concentration camps. Our guide Joerg was prompt with collecting us and ensured we were comfortable for the drive He chatted on the way giving us history and background During the walk through the camp Joerg supported his commentary with a folder of photos and information to again give further insight into what we were seeing to support our understanding This is not an easy tour in that the information and more so the reality of what you’re seeing is confronting but Joerg did keep checking in with us and was flexible. I would highly recommend that you take the option of the private tour if you can
Great trip. The guide was on time en the vehicle was really nice. Thomas was our guide. He was friendly en could tell us a lot. Not only about the 2nd worldwar but over a lot of things that happend in Berlin. Our teenagers were also very interested and liked the guide.
