アラデ城と呼ばれることもあるサン ジョアン ド アラデ要塞は、中世の要塞です。この場所の最初の要塞は、ポルトガルのジョン 2 世王の治世に建てられた見張り塔でした。その後、フェラグドの定住 (1520 年頃) に続いて、城は防御壁 (古い壁の初歩的な壁の上に構築された) に囲まれたと考えられています。 フォート オブ アラデの起源はフィリピン王朝にまでさかのぼり、半島の海岸を北ヨーロッパの王室に仕える海賊や私掠船による攻撃から守りました。
珍しいデザインの灯台は、平屋建ての管理人の家に取り付けられた小さな正方形の砲塔で構成されています。テラスで赤提灯を支えています。小さな校舎の外観と比較されることが多いこの家は、白く塗られ、石がむき出しで、屋根が赤瓦で覆われています。ポルティマン港の入り口の東側、先史時代から異教徒の儀式に使用されていた岬にあります。 ポンタ・ド・アルタル灯台は、1884 年 6 月 21 日にリカルド・ペイロテウによって最初に提案されました。1893 年 1 月 1 日に運用を開始しました。塔は高さ 10 メートル、幅 2.7 メートルです。元のライトは白色で、燃料源として石油を使用していました。これは、ポルティマン港の入り口にある 2 つのモールの端にある 2 つの小さなライトと組み合わされています。
面積わずか 0.16 ヘクタールのこの小さな島は、IBA に分類されます。 (重要な鳥の生息地)、アルデイド (サギ) の営巣地としての重要性のため。 この場所は、アマサギとコサギのコロニーが存在するため、春には特に興味深い場所です。この時期、小島の上部には、巣にいるサギである白い点がたくさんあります。
トッレ ダ ラパは、おそらく 16 世紀に、アルガルヴェの海岸を守る監視塔システムの一部として建設されました。 何百年もの間、近所の男たちが交代で海岸を監視し、主に北アフリカからの海賊船を常に監視していました。危険が生じた場合、ベルが鳴らされ、煙信号が発せられ、夜には火が灯され、人々が自分の持ち物や命を安全な場所に置く時間を確保しました。

Simply the best option for cruising the Caves on the Coast ! The guys are super knowledgeable with a large stable boat and a must have washroom and Roof cover , you will burn up without a roof over your head Troy from Canada
fantastic experience. Our guides were amazing. The caves were really really cool and we got to jump in the water and cool off and take a phenomenal swim. Two big thumbs up!.

This is a slow boattrip that is perfect if you don’t want full speed. You can walk on the boat and there are enough place under the roof if you don’t want to be sunburned. They have toilet and a bar and it is perfect for family and for people that want a slow ride to see what Algarve has to show from the seaside😊 The guides are perfect,knowledgeable and have a good sense og humor. Ps: don’t where a Argentina jersey in Portugal😂 could have been sharkfood😂

Our trip with Algarve Sunboat was absolutely magical! Cruising silently along the stunning coastline was an unforgettable experience — peaceful, relaxing, and simply beautiful. The guide on board was wonderful: knowledgeable, kind, funny and made the whole journey feel special. The boat is super comfortable, with benches to sit and tables. A toilet and a bar on board! We went inside of the caves which was such an experience. If you’re looking for a unique way to explore the Algarve, I can’t recommend this experience enough!

Fab and relaxing afternoon trip along the Algarve coast taking in Benagil cave and others! Gorgeous sunset on the return trip. The catamaran was great, so clean and comfortable. Eco friendly too! The Captain and Guide couldn’t have been friendlier and so welcoming & informative. Would totally recommend and can’t wait to do it again. Thank you Algarve Sunboat for a very memorable experience.
Great experience visiting all the sea caves along the coast. The crew was awesome and the boat was comfortable.
We loved the two crew members who were very knowledgeable, funny, informative and handled the boat with such skill. The boat being solar powered was great, very comfortable and the small group made it very personal. We would highly recommend this company.
