北京の中心部に位置する故宮は、20 世紀初頭まで 5 世紀にわたって中国帝国の主要な宮殿でした。現在、故宮博物院は中国最大の国立博物館の 1 つで、かつての皇帝のコレクションに基づく膨大なコレクションを所蔵しています。ここは、明朝と清朝の絶頂期の中国帝国の威厳と壮大さを実感できる場所です。 明朝 (1368-1644) の成祖の治世中の 1406 年から 1420 年にかけて建設された故宮は、24 人の皇帝とその家族が暮らし、500 年にわたって古代中国政府の儀式と政治の中心地として機能しました。中国の最後の皇帝が宮殿を去った後、1925年に紫禁城は博物館となり、一般公開されました。それ以来、紫禁城はもはや「禁じられた場所」ではなくなり、今では一般の人々が仮想タイムトラベルをして、皇帝の生活の秘密と贅沢を見ることができるようになりました。
北京の中心部にある文字通り比喩的な天安門広場は、100エーカーを超える広大な敷地を誇り、世界最大級の公共広場となっています。 1949年、毛沢東主席が中華人民共和国の建国を宣言したのはここであり、特に帝政中国の象徴である紫禁城がすぐ近くにあることは象徴的であった。

Impressive place very beautiful but perhaps not an adequate place for children... Beautiful experience
The activity booked was lowering of the flag. Reserved entrance to Tiananmen. But didn't indicate how to take part in/enjoy the activity. Indeed apparently not aware of the situation on-site in this season (August) : initially advised to arrive merely 20mins before it, then, upon my questioning (to get a good seeing spot), 40mins before. I decided to arrive 1.5hr before, and it was still not enough to get through all the ID and security controls: we missed the flag lowering (by 5mins) (even though we had the chance to skip part of the queue because being with a child) Doesn't apparently know what is being sold, I don't recommend.
Andy did a great job for us. And was available WhatsApp when needed. Of course Tianemen Square is worth visiting.
Made the visit easy! Someone messaged me the tickets on WhatsApp the night before. I definitely recommend taking the metro, do not didi to the entrance. Take the metro.
This worked like a charm! I tried to register myself, but the WeChat mini program wouldn’t accept my info. Well worth the small fee to have it done correctly and receive a confirmation in just a few hours.
We used this service to book tickets. The company sent a message with tips on what to bring, and not bring with you. Also best entrance spots. I suggest you book a few days in advance, so you can receive the travel tips in time to prepare for your visit.
The visit to the Forbidden City was absolutely amazing! The site is stunning and full of history, and the entire experience was perfectly organized. The assistance was outstanding: Mr. Andy helped me with the booking even when the tickets were completely sold out online, making sure I could purchase them on site the following day. He also sent all the necessary instructions via WhatsApp quickly and accurately. Thanks to this promptness and professionalism, I decided to book additional tours with them for the rest of my trip in China. Highly recommended!
