This was one of the most frightening and upsetting experiences I’ve ever had. The excursion was extremely sketchy, and the experience was nothing like what was advertised. They claim the horses are well-trained, but based on what I personally experienced, I strongly disagree. You don’t get to choose your horse, and you don’t learn anything meaningful about the horses, their personalities, their training, or what to expect before getting on. I specifically told them that I was scared and that I had NEVER ridden a horse before. Instead of taking that seriously or making sure I was comfortable, they completely disregarded my concerns. One of the biggest issues for me was how the guide treated my horse. My horse would try to stop and eat, and the guide repeatedly hit my horse to make it move. I repeatedly told him NOT to hit the horse while I was on it and told him that if the horse needed a break, I was completely fine with stopping. Despite me clearly saying this multiple times, he continued. I also noticed that my fiancé’s horse was flinching every time the guide came near it BEFORE everything went wrong. That was extremely concerning to me, especially considering what happened afterward. Halfway through the excursion, both of our horses suddenly freaked out. My fiancé’s horse threw him off and then ran away. The staff were unable to find his horse. My horse also took off running and nearly threw me off. I was terrified and had absolutely no control over what was happening. What made the situation even worse was how the staff handled it. I was shaking and crying after everything happened, and instead of stopping the excursion or making sure we were actually okay, they repeatedly told us we were “fine” and made us CONTINUE. My fiancé had literally been thrown from a horse, his horse had run away, and mine had nearly thrown me off, yet they still expected us to continue the excursion. The entire experience also left me extremely concerned about the treatment and condition of the horses. Based on what I personally witnessed, I have serious concerns about whether these horses are being properly trained, cared for, and treated appropriately. I obviously cannot speak for what happens when customers aren’t there, but what I witnessed during our excursion was enough to make me very uncomfortable. I understand that horseback riding comes with risks, especially when dealing with animals, but there is a major difference between normal risks and ignoring an inexperienced rider’s concerns, repeatedly hitting a horse after being asked not to, continuing after a rider has been thrown off, and telling someone who is visibly shaking and crying that they are “fine.” This was supposed to be a fun experience for my fiancé and me, and instead it became a genuinely terrifying situation. I would absolutely NOT recommend this excursion, especially to anyone who is inexperienced or nervous around horses. The way the horses and riders were handled was extremely concerning, and I would not feel comfortable putting myself or anyone else through this experience again.

Paid for a private experience. Our driver was GREAT. However, pulled up and no bathroom, our guide didn’t speak English and was on and off his phone the whole time. It was supposed to be a sunset tour but they started us early and we didn’t see the sunset at all. The guide never even adjusted the stirrups to fit me and I couldn’t bear weight on my knee for a bit after due to this. Beach full of trash. I came to this company a few years ago and had a decent experience. Unfortunately, we will look for a new spot next time.

oh my god do this tour please. The people who run the tour are amazing. They took on a private trip across the beach as we watched the sun set. We got fresh coconuts that he got from the tree. We have great time I love love loved this tour

John Carlos took the most amazing photos! Juan ensured I felt comfortable when I told him I was scared of falling off the horse. He helped me on and off each time and held my horse in his hand since I was scared to lead on my own. A truly kind group of caballeros that wanted to give us the best even

If you’re visiting the Dominican Republic, I can’t recommend this horseback riding excursion enough! My girlfriend and I chose the private tour, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. I’d never ridden a horse before, so I was a little nervous going into it. Within just a few minutes, I felt completely comfortable thanks to our guide, Enrique (Ryke), who made sure I was relaxed and confident before we headed out. The ride itself was incredible. We spent about two miles riding along the beach with beautiful ocean views the entire way. One of my favorite moments was when our guide stopped and had a local gentleman cut open a fresh coconut for us right on the spot. I’d never had fresh coconut straight from the tree before, and it was such a unique experience that made the tour feel even more authentic. Choosing the private option was absolutely worth it. Instead of being part of a large group, it felt much more personal and relaxed, allowing us to enjoy the scenery at our own pace. It also included a photographer, John Carlos, who captured some incredible moments throughout the ride. The quality of the photos was outstanding and gave us memories we’ll have forever. Overall, this experience was a 10/10. If you’re visiting the Dominican Republic and considering a horseback riding excursion, I highly recommend booking the private tour. It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish!

It was so much fun. Taking a horseback ride on the beach was something I always wanted to do and this surpassed my expectations. The professional riders were great, the horses well cared for and the beach was beautiful. Don’t hesitate to sign up for this tour you won’t be disappointed.
