1782年、ラマ1世は首都をトンブリーから川を越えてバンコクに移動し、ワットポーに隣接した王宮を建設しました。 1788年に、彼はワットポーの古い寺院跡地で建設と改修を命じましたが、それまでに荒廃してしまいました。ラマ1世の建設中に、スコータイのアユタヤやタイの他の遺跡の廃寺から仏像を取り除くプロジェクトも開始しましたが、これらの仏像の多くはワット・ポーに保管されていました。アユタヤのワットプラシーサンペットは1767年にビルマ人によって破壊され、これらは複合施設のチェディに組み込まれました。再建は完了するのに7年以上かかりました。作業が開始されてから12年後の1801年、新しい寺院群はプラチェトゥポンヴィモルマンクラヴァスと改名されました。
Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihanは、タイ、バンコクのバンコクヤイ地区にある、チャオプラヤ川のトンブリ西岸にある仏教寺院（ワット）です。この寺院の名前はヒンズー教の神アルーナに由来し、しばしば日の出の放射として擬人化されます。ワット・アルンは、タイのランドマークの中で最もよく知られています。朝の最初の光は真珠のような虹色で寺院の表面に反射しますが、少なくとも17世紀から寺院は存在していましたが、その独特のプラング（尖塔）はラーマ2世の治世中に19世紀初頭に建てられました。

Great tours and great guide A must-do
Everything was excellent. Our guide, Mina is great
This was a great way to explore the temples. Our guide (Sunny) was really good and kept things moving at a good pace. Our tour included a tuk tuk ride and boat ride together with walking. Just to note that this is a reasonably long tour (5 ish hours) and does not include a food stop). Having said that, a number of people, that had not read the information sent, did request a stop for lunch and our guide accommodated this (with the buy in of all participants) and took us to a local eatery where the food was very good and very inexpensive. We particularly liked Wat Pho (the reclining Buddha). Our guide was also very good at making sure everyone was able to get back to their hotels. Just to note, this tour does not end where it starts but the end location is right at a taxi station, tuk tuk station and the underground/metro. We would highly recommend this tour.

It was just the two of us on a personal tour. I was also very familiar with Japanese history and it was easy to understand the explanation while comparing with Thailand
