This tour was such a fun way to learn about Austin and see neighborhoods that I would not have found on my own. Kelty was an amazing guide who gave each of us personal recommendations for things to do after the tour. She was fun and har ability to connect with each of us was wonderful.

I booked the Austin Street Art and Street Food tour through Viator, for our family with one teenager. Let me tell you this tour did not disappoint! The murals, whether commissioned or an act of love and community, really tell the story of Austin in all of its humanity and creativity. The street food addition was the icing on the cake for us! I’m still regretting not purchasing one of each donut at The Salty to taste test later. Lol!! AND our guide, Luke, what a guide! Not only is Luke well-versed in his tour, and the history and the humanity behind each and every piece we stopped at, he is also extremely easy to follow, very engaging, funny and entertaining, loves his hometown, and is one of the most genuinely likable guides I have ever had. If you could request a tour guide for this tour, request Luke! (I hope this one makes your dad’s fridge door!😎)

We went as a family of 6 with 3 teenagers and one tween and all lived the street art and food tour! Our guide Joey was super friendly and knowledgeable about all the fun art and food and entertainment facts! I would totally recommend doing this tour! Super fun!

I’ve lived in Austin for over a decade, and I still learned so much on the Street Art & Street Food tour with Austin Detours. Joey is hands-down the best tour guide — fun, knowledgeable, and full of great stories that brought the city’s murals and artists to life. We explored hidden gems in Downtown, South Austin, and East Austin that I had never seen before, and now I can’t wait to go back and revisit them. We also stopped at The Salty Donut and Spicy Boys Fried Chicken — both were amazing, and honestly places we probably wouldn’t have even tried on our own. Huge bonus! Such an amazing day. I highly, highly recommend this tour to locals and visitors!
