The best ATV tour in my life, Excellent tour guide and excellent activity—recommended for everyone, of all ages.

We paid 2,000 Q for this experience, and for the price I expected substantially more actual off-road/trail riding. We left around 9:00 a.m. and arrived around 10:00 a.m. perhaps 30 min setting up after arrival. We then spent roughly 30–45 minutes riding on regular paved roads, about 45 minutes off-road, had around a 1-hour lunch, then did more regular-road riding, followed by another roughly 45 minutes off-road, a quick break, and then returned mostly on regular roads where we lunched for another hour, spend more time on regular roads and that was it. A significant portion of the day was spent getting to the activity, riding on normal roads, taking breaks, and having lunch. Based on my own timeline and timestamped photos, the actual off-road portion was much shorter than I reasonably expected from the experience that was advertised and what I paid for. I spent about a month travelling around Guatemala and did many different activities. This was both the most expensive and the most disappointing experience of the entire trip. I contacted Viator afterward, explained exactly what happened, and asked them to consider a refund because I did not feel the experience delivered matched the value or expectations of what I purchased. They refused to offer any refund at all. For 2,000 Q, I cannot recommend this tour. 0/10 experience.

Such a fun and thrilling experience. Definitely had it's challenging parts and I'd only recommend if you have some background with ATVs.

The Pacaya Volcano ATV Tour exceeded expectations and was a 10/10 must do. All of the Simoons Tour staff were super friendly and professional. Our tour guide Erick was outgoing, funny, and very safety conscious. We were with a small group of five so the entire day felt very personalized.

My husband and I loved the ATV tour and the guides! All the guides were very helpful, informative, and welcoming, especially Diego! We did the Pacaya ATV tour and it was great experience seeing the volcano, the lake, and eating on the volcano rocks. Would 100% recommend, it’s very safe and fun, we even decided to book another trip!

Incredible experience with our guide Diego. Perfect views and explanations, all in a fun atmosphere. You have to prepare for a long day, especially for those who are not used to off-road ATV driving. Perfect and unique day!

It was advebterous. More challenging than anticipayed so wiuld have been good to know that there ate many steep rocky paths to go over. Overall, good experience seeing yhe volcano.
