Andrew kept the perfect pace and information flow as we toured the fields and processing facility. He was easy to understand, conversational and glad to answer questions for our group of four. Our tour concluded with a hands-on coffee brewing and tasting. We learned so much about the culture and the process! A great morning, a true value, and we enjoyed the community of Turrialba. Taking home a vandula to brew our own coffee too.

Costa Rica coffee at its best !
an exceptional experience with Andreas and Rachel ...
We were lucky enough to experience it in "private" mode, being the only ones that day, and with great weather, after 1 hour and 30 minutes of scenic roads and incredible landscapes. We thought we knew a little about coffee from field to cup, we discovered so many things in 3 hours of visiting!
The 24 varieties, the production techniques, the processing to obtain washed, natural, honey coffees, the tasting with one of the most aromatic espressos we have ever tasted ...

Coffee Experience 10 out of 10
I trained as a barista in Spain and had never visited a coffee farm; this experience far exceeded my expectations. The guide was wonderful; he was attentive to all of us at all times, explaining in great detail the history of the town, the farm, the coffee-growing family, the characteristics of the coffee, the plant, the process... The walk through the farm is brilliant, and finishing with a tasting of their own coffee production using different coffee machines was the perfect ending. Totally recommended.

Very nice discovery of...
Very nice discovery of the culture and production of coffee in Costa Rica.
On an authentic farm, the tour was not a tourist "show". You should not fear the reference to the "largest farm in the country" as it is described, it remains a family and artisanal farm. Our guides were super nice. To be recommended without hesitation.

We had a great tour from César. He told us on the insides of the coffee and how it is production looks like. It was really good and interessant and we would suggest it to everyone. Same for the lunch that we added to the tour!

Fantastic visit of the Aquiares coffee plantation and factory
Fantastic experience visiting the coffee plantation and factory with the great guide Cesar. Before that we had an amazing waterfall visit thanks to Andrew. What a great guy! Delicious lunch at the hacienda. A must during your holiday in Costa Rica!

An Unforgettable Coffee Tour at Aquiares
We had an amazing experience at Aquiares Coffee Tour — without a doubt the best coffee tour I’ve done in Costa Rica.
Andrew, our guide, was absolutely spot on. I’ve done a few tours around the country, but his knowledge and passion really stood out. He didn’t just explain the coffee process in detail, he also shared fascinating insights about the town’s history, which made the whole experience even more special.
It was my partner’s first time visiting Costa Rica, and he left with the best vibes, a deeper understanding of the culture, and of course, some fantastic coffee.
We finished the tour with great coffee and even better chats, which made it feel very personal and welcoming.
A big thank you to Andrew and the team at reception for making us feel so valued throughout the visit.

Aquiares coffee tour
This was a great tour thanks to our guide Andrew. He was very knowledgeable and took us on a short walk which included some of the local town history, the coffee plantation, some of the wildlife, locals and the coffee processing plant itself. His dry humour and his passion for the coffee harvesting kept us fully engaged throughout - well worth a visit.
