挨拶の後、車で 2 分のエフェソス エリアに向かい、トルコの主要なハイライトの 1 つを訪れます。イオニア同盟 (小アジアの西海岸にある古代ギリシャの地区) の 12 の都市の 1 つであるエフェソスは、イズミールの近くにあります。港湾都市として、小アジアへの貿易ルートの主要な出発点でした。 素晴らしい公共の建物が並ぶ大理石の通りに沿って歴史を歩きましょう。その中には、スコラスティカ浴場とケルスス図書館があります (2 世紀の初めにガイウス ユリウス アクイラによって、彼の父ガイウス ユリウス ケルスス ポレマヌス (アジア管区総領事) を記念して建てられました)。ハドリアヌス神殿と大劇場は、エフェソスで最も印象的な 2 つの建物です。大劇場は紀元前 3 世紀に建設され、その後、紀元 1 世紀にローマ人によって 24,000 人の観客に拡張されました。

This is a private tour that is excellent way to see Ephesus ruins and other sites. We had a comfortable private van and driver, spending a wonderful day with our guide Zafer . He easily ushered us through the crowds providing us an understanding of what we were seeing. We had previously taken a similar tour that included Virgin Mary house so opted for this tour with a stop and lunch in Sirince. Sirince is a quaint little village that was certainly worth the stop. We are thankful for the opportunity to spend the day on this tour with Zafer. We were on a cruise so booked this as a shore excursion. It was better and more fairly priced than anything offered by the cruise line, and had no worries about getting back to the ship in time.

Sinem was a great tour guide. She explained all the sites very well and made sure to stop and talk about different areas on our tour. our tour was of the museum, which was fabulous, and Sircine village which is a small town full of shops and a small church. A very scenic drive with a good driver followed by lunch and the rug sales which we declined and got out of doing as we have done before . our tour guide GULSAH (Rose) was fabulous. Very helpful, fluent in English and a great historian.
