This was my very first visit to Uzbekistan, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Before the tour even started, our travel plans changed unexpectedly. Because of these last-minute changes, we needed to adjust the tour date and also faced challenges returning to Tashkent as originally planned. The team at Silk Road Tours responded quickly and professionally, helping us rearrange the schedule and even changing our transportation from train to flight when necessary. Their prompt communication, flexibility, and customer-focused approach made a potentially stressful situation completely manageable. I am truly grateful for their exceptional support. Once we arrived in Samarkand, our guide Aziza made the experience even more memorable. She provided detailed and engaging explanations about the history, culture, and architectural significance of the city's famous landmarks. Her knowledge and passion for Samarkand helped bring the city's rich heritage to life, allowing us to appreciate much more than just the beautiful sights. She was also very friendly, attentive, and happy to answer all of our questions throughout the day. Samarkand itself is a fascinating city filled with stunning historical monuments and a unique atmosphere, and this tour was an excellent way to experience its highlights in a short amount of time. Thanks to the outstanding organization by Silk Road Tours and the expertise of Aziza, my first trip to Uzbekistan became a truly unforgettable experience. Our guide Aziza and her driver were TOP-NOTCH. Aziza has a deep knowledge of the places, names, dates, and superb history, which makes the tour much richer and more interesting. Understanding the culture and explaining the details of the spectacular buildings was truly enriching. I was surprised by the richness of the history of this important Silk Road site; it far exceeded my expectations. Aziza was always attentive to our well-being, and the very characteristic hospitality of these people was always present.

Very well organized, a whole day to see the main sites of Samarcanda was enough. Our guide Aziza and its driver were TOP, Aziza has a deep knowledge about the superb locations, names, dates and history which makes the tour much richer and more interesting, realize the culture, explain the details of the spectacularity of the buildings, it was truly enriching. I was surprised by the rich history of this important site of the Silk Road, far exceeded expectations. Aziza was always attentive to our well-being and the very characteristic hospitality of this people was also always present.

We took a day trip to Samarkand from Tashkent by train with Silk Road Tours, and we recommend it. Whether it was the organization (booking transportation from your hotel, the train, the entries), or the engaging guide who spoke very good French, everything was perfect, and we had a wonderful day with family, including a 13-year-old child.

A great tour, covering all the historic UNESCO heritage sites. The ride by the Tashkent Samarqand High Speed Rail link is mesmerising.

A great day trip to visit Samarkand, not only being an ancient city of Uzbekistan but also held its status as a major hub along the Old Silk Road, which is worth spending time there to feel the monuments left from the past, and as well as the magnificent mosques that are there. My guide Ro’zibek is very knowledgeable and passionate about his job which made the day trip very educational and enjoyable through and through.
