Best thing to do in Alice Springs. Worth going to see dingos, birds, reptiles. Good range of talks every 45 mins or so. Don’t miss the bird show.

Brilliant park well load out with heaps to see and do. Bird show is a real highlight- amazing. Great value for money too.

Great place to see local wildlife. Includes birds show. Very interesting & large nocturnal house (as many locals are nocturnal). Lots of information boards. Plenty of native plants & birds. Very clean. Reasonable entry fee. We spent about 3 hours here.

Highly recommend a visit if you have young kids! We went with our six and eight year old for the afternoon and it was a great activity. Just the right amount of walking around, loads of animals (terrific bird show at 3pm - time around that, and look for Bruce the Willy wag tail…) The on-site cafe is also great, some of the best priced meals we’ve had our whole NT trip (with kid friendly options that aren’t “nuggets and chips”!)

We had a wonderful time at Desert Park. We loved the nocturnal house and seeing all the big variety of animals. We loved the dingo talk and the bird show was super exciting! Kids loved it! Would highly recommend!

This became my favourite place when visiting Alice Springs! I found it very easy to walk around, and loved seeing the bird show, the emu, and the aviaries of beautiful birds. I was also lucky enough to see a wild perentie lizard. The nocturnal house is amazing, as are all the talks with the knowledgeable guides. I was lucky enough to do a Dusk tour as part of Parrtjima with the lovely Ann who I enjoyed hearing and learning from about the country and culture here. Highly recommend if you're a nature fan, and enjoy gardens, aviaries, animals, and learning.

Excellent way to learn about the flora and fauna around Alice Springs. Guides were knowledgeable and animals/birds well cared for.

Hot. Take advantage of the water fountains and the cover offered at various places. An interesting selection of animals.

An excellent desert park set out over a large area making it feel like you are really in the bush. The bird Avery’s are large and it’s wonderful to walk through and see the birds. The nocturne house is excellent and highly maintained. While we were there we saw the rangers cleaning and checking on the habitat. The bird show is the best. The birds are wild but know when the rangers have food. Great interpretation from the ranger on the types of. It’s and their natural feeding habits. The Survival in the desert show was very informative and lots of fun. The guide explained in detail about language culture, food and survival of the indigenous mobs in the Alice Springs region. There are other items on the program we didn’t get to do but all looked very interesting. Well worth the visit.
