We had a fabulous day trip to Nizwa and Jebel Akhdar with Golden Desert Tours. Our guide, Ahmed, made it a memorable experience for us, giving us so much information and background to the places we visited. We were picked up from our hotel exactly on time and driven in a comfortable 4x4. The journey gave us time to chat with Ahmed, providing a real insight into life in Oman. We had been to Nizwa fort before and Ahmed was happy to show us around other areas of Nizwa instead, allowing us to personalise the tour to suit our small group. Ahmed made the day very special for us and we’ll definitely book again when we return to Oman.

10/10 Must-Do in Oman
Def would recommend taking the tour with Khalid. He had the right energy for our group - a mix of married, solo travelers and friends - & was attentive and good at managing our time. He knew when to take time on what we enjoyed and took good photos as well!

Best Moments in Oman
We went to Jabal Akhdar, Nizwa Fort, and the souq it was fantastic.
The mountain drive was stunning with photo stops, and exploring the villages on the Green Mountain felt peaceful and authentic.
We enjoyed Omani coffee, fresh pomegranate juice, and even visited a rose water distillery. Nizwa Fort and the traditional souq were highlights too, full of history and local culture. Big thanks to my guide Fawzi.
An unforgettable trip I’d highly recommend!
