My guide Bharat arrived promptly at 7:30am on Saturday to commence the 2.5 hour drive to Ajanta Caves; the car was a Toyota Etios, and the driver did a great job of navigating the traffic and at times bumpy roads. It's a relatively short, albeit uphill walk, to the Ajanta Caves, and the paths are smooth and well maintained. You're required to remove your shoes to enter most caves, so I suggest slip on shoes or sandals are a good choice. We arrived before the crowds, and spent about three hours exploring the caves, with Bharat freely sharing his extensive knowledge of the caves and their artwork, highlighting many fascinating but easily overlooked aspects. A very satisfying first day, and we made it back to my hotel in Aurangabad about 4pm. Sunday's tour commenced on time at 8:15am, and Pankaj was my guide for the 2nd day. First stop was the Bibi Ka Maqbara, and its similarity to the Taj Mahal is quite striking; definitely worth seeing, and relatively quiet first thing. Daulatabad Fort was full of surprising design features, however the paths can be a little uneven, so good footwear is recommended. Ellora Caves at first struck me as similar to Ajanta, however the scale quickly convinced me otherwise, culminating in the mesmerising Kailash Temple; a sight to behold, and a magnificent way to end the itinerary. Pankaj's depth of experience, passion and commitment was readily apparent, and it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. A very thorough tour over the two days, and we finished on Sunday with plenty of time for me to be dropped at Aurangabad Airport for a 7pm flight. Bharat and Pankaj are excellent and knowledgeable guides, and both comfortably accommodated my particular interests, pace of exploration, and photo requests.

Our 2 day tour was excellent. Mr. Pankaj is a highly experienced, knowledgeable guide willing to share his love of the sites visited. Our driver was also very friendly, punctual and obliging. Mr. Pankaj seems to know everyone at every place visited and made our experience far easier and better informed.

Good organisation, friendly guide and driver, very flexible Skandal and Ellora caves are very impressive. Weather in December excellent - not too warm.

We had a 2-day trip to the lunar crater (day 1) and Ajanta + Ellora Caves (day2). The lunar crater is amazing, when you hike down to the last temple. It’s worth every minute…the view, the wildlife, the nature and this spot is magic. The Caves are mindblowing, if you try do realise, how it was build…it’s amazing, beautiful and spectacular. The trips were in itself an excitement, the drive is long and hard (bumpy roads), take good shoes on and a lot of water!!! Mr Pankaj is a great guide, very knowledgeable and always patient and our driver Aadarsh drove us safely and calm two days (approx 12 hours). We would highly recommend this experience!!!

I would like to give special thanks to my guide Pankaj for the explanation he gave me and for the whole organisation. I had enough time to explore the monuments by myself and the tour was tailor-made to suit my needs. The organisator was waiting for me at the airport and the driver drove me directly to Ajanta on the first day. I had the opportunity to meet with other people and come to know more about the indian culture. I will recommend this tour to any of my friends that are interested in the indian culture.

We had a 1.5 day tour with the first day Ajanta Caves and the second day Ellora Caves. Pankaj was our government approved tourguide. He had a lot of knowledge and could passionately tell good stories about the caves. He adjusted the tour timings according to our schedule, which was quite convenient. The nature surroundings of the caves were very beautiful in the monsoon season. One thing to improve is that sometimes the tourguide gave a bit too much information.

This was a fantastic tour of Ajanta and Ellora! Mr Pankaj was a great tour guide who knew so much about the caves and region. I appreciated his deep knowledge and perspective, and the way he shared the caves' history through stories. I highly recommend booking with him! The first day we left Aurangabad early to beat the heat and crowds. It was great being at Ajanta with no crowds and to experience the acoustics and sereneness of the temple caves. Ellora was more crowded as it's closer to Aurangabad, but still stunning nonetheless. The communication with Travel Greed and Mr Pankaj was smooth and I felt well taken care of the entire trip. It was my first domestic trip in India and a great introduction to this wonderful country. If I come back, I'd love to see the caves and Ajanta valley after monsoons when the area is green and lush. If you go during Indian summer (April/May/June), pack a lot of water, sunscreen, and loose clothing!
