Informative, Emma was a great guide, food was outstanding, funicular was extraordinary. Loved the view from the top of Fløibanen.
One of the best tours on my trip. Magda was excellent. She is very knowledgeable about the city and the food; she told us many interesting facts about Bergen. I really enjoyed that our last stop took us up to Mount Floyen. What a beautiful view of the city after tasting excellent food at each of our stops
It was a lovely day! Rigmor was fun, informative and a great conversationalist. We really enjoyed our time with her. The entire tour group was just 8 people which was great. The food was both interesting and good, as were the locations! Some time to sit down and enjoy things, even though we had to keep to a reservation schedule. There were also plenty of bathrooms en route for those who have that concern. I highly recommend this tour.
We had a fantastic, unrushed tour with Jørgen - it was fantastic to try some of Bergen’s culinary highlights and get a better understanding of Norwegian culture. Would highly recommend - Jørgen’s passion for the city was clear to see and we enjoyed many of his recommendations for the rest of our trip as well.
We loved this tour and learned a lot about the city and its traditions. Our guide was great! The kids (9 and 11) didn’t love all the food, but still had a great time. Lots of seafood, so best for fish lovers!
This tour was amazing! A walk around the harbor with stops to try some iconic foods of Bergen. Cristina was absolutely phenomenal. So knowledgeable and friendly. She has a wonderful ability to draw people out and get them engaged. She made the tour a wonderful experience and made sure this old lady didn’t fall behind the group. My family thought this was one of the best experiences of our recent trip to Norway. Our guide, Magda, was fantastic! She was so good with our 9 year old and including her about her opinions of the food. When we got to the cider tasting house there was even a non-alcoholic cider tasting so that she could be part of the same experience. I would tell anyone who comes to Bergen and likes trying food to do this tour. The tour only takes 8 people which is a highlight to me. The directions for where to meet were very clear, there was a comfortable place to sit at each stop, and we met some of the nicest people in our group. We have done other food tours in other cities and this was one of the best we have done. You will really have an understanding of Norway cuisine by the end. I recommend doing this when you first get to Bergen so you can try out some of the recommendations you get.
I signed up for the tour by myself and met some fantastic sweet people from the US and Singapore. The food and drinks was really high quality and there was a good diversion during the day. The guide Caterina was well prepared and knew a lot of things about the foods and drinks that we were served during the day. Besides her knowledge, she was so relaxed in a good way and easy to talk to and i felt she made everyone in the group feeling welcome. She made sure that when she'd asked for an opinion about the food or drinks, everyone would have something to say. Also she did manage to talk to everbody and hear their story. She also did take a group photo if we wanted to and a photo by each of us. I like when the guide take initiative to do that. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone who thinks about trying local foods in Bergen in the best way.
With out guide Rigmor we visited a number of restaurants and a cider bar in Bergen. Both alcoholic and non alcoholic versions were available. We learned many interesting facts about Bergen through the food we sampled. Rigmor lives in Bergen and is extremely knowledgeable about its history and nuances. Highly recommended
Jurgen was amazing. He is very very knowledgeable about everything. Had amazing conversations. He personally walked with us 25 minutes back to the cruise ship way beyond tour time… made sure we got back to the ship on time. Our expectations were more than fulfilled. Thanks again.
