We’re sorry the transition to the Alcatraz ferry felt confusing. Alcatraz is a self-guided experience, and guests make their own way to the ferry after the guided portion of the tour. Although the tickets and instructions were sent through WhatsApp, we understand that the process should have been explained more clearly. Communication through Viator can sometimes be limited because all guest information and messages must pass through their system. This is one reason we always recommend booking directly with Dylan’s Tours whenever possible—it allows our team to communicate with guests more easily and provide clearer, more personalized assistance before the tour. We appreciate your comments and will use them to make our Alcatraz instructions even clearer, especially for international visitors.
