We absolutely loved our tour. It was an amazing experience filled with fantastic food, all of the highest quality and with the freshest ingredients. Our tour guide, Valentini was wonderful, she was very knowledgeable, clearly loves food as we do, and was incredibly warm and friendly. I can’t recommend this tour enough it will be a highlight of your stay in Athens.

Don’t miss Athens bite Food tour
We did the Greek experience tour with Katarina. She was a wonderful guide snd we learned so much from her. All of the food was amazing. We learned so much about Athens and ate delicious foods along the way. Everything we ate was delicious, I loved that all of the places we visited were locally owned. we were so full at the end so make sure to start with an empty stomach. It was a great way to see Athens and learn about the food and culture in Athens. highly recommend it

Greek food at its best!!
Valentina was wonderful! Very professional with a great knowledge of Greek history. We had both sweet and savory Greek food:
Pies, baklava, bread with an amazing lunch of pork or chicken gyros and freshly made potato fries. We had delicious Greek coffee and a very special Greek extra virgin Olive oil tasting!
Highly worth the experience… go hungry and be prepared to walk the city!!

Structured Food Tour
Valentini was an excellent guide. She was charismatic, experienced, and patient. We were a large group with many children. We enjoyed everything orchestrated for us to taste and the mix of history was also wonderful.

Valentini is amazing!
Valentini was an AMAZING tour guide. She showed us every wonderful neighborhood, introduced us to shop owners we mentioned wanting to visit, and was incredibly knowledgeable about the food tour as well as the history of Greece. We took many tours on our trip but this was the one I would say you absolutely should not miss.

Eva and Athens Bites set the foundation for a perfect week in Greece
What a fantastic food tour. We went to several places but never felt like it was too much or too little. Eva taught us about each bite and the history of the recipes as well as how locals cook these staple items. Eva made this tour everything we hoped it could be - walking, history, culture, understanding and food as part culture. We had high expectations for this tour based on reviews and those were exceeded by the places we visited, but mostly because of Eva. She has that extra something special that makes it feel like you are learning about each neighborhood and food with a friend. Will be recommending this tour to anyone we know going to Athens!

Spend a morning sampling food and learning about Greek culture
We took a food tour with Valentini in August of 2026. We had a wonderful time and visited venues that we would not have found on our own; we learnt so much about culture and history and food! Valentini has a passion for great quality food, and she knows where to find the best and most authentic vendors.
I really appreciated how woderfully balanced the tour was. I felt engaged, entertained, but also relaxed. Walking and sitting and sampling food (with access to facilities) was tailored to our needs and abilities, so we never felt tired.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens.

A Memorable Experience
Cannot recommend this tour enough. It was our favorite during a two week trip to Greece, and maybe our favorite ever. You will not only learn about the food (also receive detailed information shared later via email), you also hear about the traditions, history, etc. Katarina was an absolute pleasure to be with and was proactive about a food allergy, including bringing alternative options at every stop. A must do!!

FANTASTIC 5 Star food, history & cultural tour
Vanna (Val) gave a FANTASTIC 5 Star tour. It was not only an incredible food tour but also a tour through Greek history, culture and architecture! For me the highlights included tastings of halva in a store selling all natural Halva (and other products) in many different flavors; seeing and learning how authentic Greek coffee is made, Olive oil tasting and explanation about the types of olive oil and of course souvlaki at the best soulvlaki restaurant in Athens (Really!) complete with an explanation of the history of souvlaki and how it is prepared. I highly recommend this tour!!!...

The perfect Athens activity
We arrived to Athens at 11:30 AM after an overnight flight. This food tour was the best activity to kick off our two night stay. Our hotel room was not ready and this was the perfect way to spend the afternoon tasting delicious Greek food and learning about the culture. Highly recommend Valentini as a guide, she was wonderful.
