We had an incredible time in Maasai Mara with Sebastian, he showed us the big 5 and everything else we wanted to see, knowing every part of the park by heart!

Very well organized, our guide Mike is super kind and resourceful. Office is also responsible and move fast with any requests.

Songe was our tour guide for the 7 days tour, he is friendly, helpful and fun. He managed to show us the Big 5 animals that we wanted to see, and he always try his best to show us the best angle of the animals. We had a wonderful time in Kenya, and would definitely recommend to our friends in the future.

This was a bucket list once in a lifetime trip for us. We heard about Apodiformes Adventures from a friend who used them. They did not disappoint. Silas was our point of contact. He was johnny on the spot when we reached out via email. Every time, his response was almost immediate. He was amazingly easy to work with. Our rooms were exceptional. We felt like we were living in luxury for the week! Our driver for the safari was Kevin. We definitely got the best. I was impressed with the wealth of information he was able to present. When we saw various animals, about things we passed in travel from one park to another, and with all the questions we peppered him with, he knew his stuff. And personality, he is a smiler. Totally kind and charming. You could tell he knew other safari drivers and they liked him. I remember one time, many groups were searching for a leopard hiding in the bushes. Others left out of frustration in not finding him. Kevin was smart. He drove around the back side and we found the cat. Everyone else then followed our lead. Kevin thought through and didn't give up. I highly recommend Kevin and Apodiformes Adventures.

We booked an 8-day, 7-night safari with this company and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. We paid $3,200 per person, plus $150 each for a night safari, and over $100 per person in extra park fees — yet what we received was nowhere near what was promised. The guide/driver was sort of OK, but the tour organisation and organiser was a mess. Poor planning meant we wasted more than three full days just driving between parks. Instead of enjoying a safari, we were stuck on the roads with traffic. Some accommodations were unacceptable. The place in Massai Mara was so bad it was literally unlivable — even our guid/driver admitted it. After hours of arguing with the hotel and the organiser, Frederick, we were moved to another place that still had no facilities at all. A low-standard lodging, completely inappropriate for a tour sold to us. I have attached some photos of the alternative accommodation, which was much better than the original one. Just imagine what was the original one!!. This company sells expensive safari but delivers budget-level service. Be warned: what you pay for is not what you get. I am also going to complain to tourist authorities in Kenya against this company.

First ever safari experience and I’m forever spoiled by Apodiformes and our driver/guide Dickson. Our 8 day safari was the perfect combination of visiting different national parks and seeing a wide variety of animals. From the first day, seeing the animals in their natural habitats, surrounded by the beauty of Kenya, made this an unforgettable experience. Each day was filled with animals and beautiful sights of Kenya! I can’t say enough about our driver/guide Dickson….he was caring, competent and anticipated our desires on each safari. He was endearing and friendly and made our entire trip such a pleasure! I will recommend Apodiformes as a fantastic safari experience to others. This was a trip of a lifetime!

My wife and I went on our honeymoon in Kenya on the 8 day bush and beach safari trip through Apodiformes. It was our first time in Africa together, and first adventure like this. Apodiformes' website didn't have all the information we wanted, so we got in contact with the sales director, Fredrick, and he helped us plan and customize our trip. There were many options of places in Kenya to go to and stay, and Fred helped us choose the right vacation for us through email and WhatsApp messages. Once we got our itinerary planned and quotes we made the decision to book our trip through them. Payment was not what I was used to, being an American, but everything worked out. I paid a 50% deposit upon booking - using a credit card through their software PesaPal (it's a legit site, like Paypal in the US). Fred wanted us to pay our balance with cash upon arrival, but eventually he accepted a second PesaPal payment when we landed in Nairobi. Expect to pay for most items with cash - this is normal in Kenya. And bring cash with you, since not all the local ATMs were accessible and accepted my debit card. Everywhere was eager to exchange foreign currency. After the payment got sorted out, everything else was completely taken care of by Apodiformes. Since we chose to do a private tour, Fred booked our own driver guide, Tom, to take us every stop of the way along the safari portion of the trip. Tom was wonderful, friendly, happy, and fast! We chose to stop at Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara, before flying to Diani Beach. In our experience, each resort we stayed at (which Fred chose for us) were much nicer than what we saw online. We stayed at Naivasha Sopa Lodge, Nakuru Sopa Lodge, and Mara Serena Resort. We stayed at Diania Sea Resort at the beach. All were beautiful and perfect for our trip. As far as excursions go, on top of the Apodiformes payment, we chose to do a boat safari at Lake Naivasha, and bike safari at Hell's Gate NP. Both were amazing and totally worth it. We chose to not take the hot air balloon excursion in Masai Mara, and chose to do a dawn game drive instead. We were happy with our choice because that drive we saw our best wildlife, but other guests who had more time and didn't mind the cost said they enjoyed it very much. The only change we would have made would be to slow down a bit. 5 days was a lot to be moving locations nearly every day, especially considering the best game drives are at dawn. Doing it over I would spend minimum two nights in each location and forgo some afternoon drives to relax at the resorts themselves. Masai Mara was definitely our favorite location, so if you're looking for tradeoffs, make sure to prioritize time there. (For example, the day we were to arrive there, we did a 4+ hr drive all the way around Lake Nakuru, when we wish we went straight there from the Nakuru Sopa Lodge and had an afternoon drive in Masai Mara). Also, no need to stay in Nairobi a day when landing - have your driver pick you up from the airport and head out right on your safari. Flying to and from Diani beach on JamboJet from JKIA was very pleasant, and totally worth the upcharge vs. taking the train to Mombasa.
