My husband and I climbed Kilimanjaro on the 8 day Lemosho route with Habari. We couldn't fault them, they were amazing. The whole team, crew and guides treated us exceptionally well. They looked after us every step of the way, with our health and happiness of utmost importance. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. One team, one dream! They supported us, motivated us, and engaged with us the whole way. Nothing was too much trouble. They made our climb the most wonderful experience. I'd thoroughly recommend the Habari team to anyone.

I had the most incredible experience climbing Kilimanjaro with Habari Adventure on the 8-day Lemosho route. I joined as a solo traveller and was matched with such an amazing group of people. We got along so well from day one, and sharing this challenge together made the whole experience even more special. The Habari team, crew and guides are absolute heroes. I genuinely don’t think I would have made it to the top without them. They motivated us, supported us, cheered us on when things got tough and fed us incredibly well throughout the entire trek. We were always so well looked after, and our health was their priority, always checking how we were doing. Every day, we would arrive at camp to find our tents already set up and our things waiting for us. The amount of hard work that goes on behind the scenes is incredible, yet the whole team was always smiling, positive and encouraging. They made this journey truly unforgettable. I’m so grateful for everything they did to help us accomplish such a huge challenge, and especially for getting our whole group to the summit. I couldn’t recommend Habari Adventure enough. An incredible, hardworking and inspiring team who made one of the biggest adventures of my life even more special. Asante sana!

Outstanding all round. The crew were exceptional - they were friendly, and kept us all smiling the entire way whilst ensuring we had plenty of energy and rest for the summit. The guides (Oscar and Hasan) were also incredible. They set a good pace, constantly stopped to tell us about the flora and fauna, and to encourage us to eat and drink. The food beat all expectations, so much so that I came back down a kilogram heavier! And a final kudos to Stan, the founder, who went above and beyond with us to ensure we had a great time. The guy is an inspiration - when you meet him, ask about his life and how he came to found Habari and its many social initiatives.

We started out with a 2 day safari to Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater and camped at a camping facility. Dinner and breakfast at the camp facility was excellent. It seems like most people opt for the safari after the climb, but we chose the safari before the climb to allow more time to adjust to the jet lag. If I was to change one thing, I would add an extra day and night in a hotel to relax before the hike starts and stay at the BruBru Lodge being my recommendation. We stayed at the Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel and the BruBru Lodge. Both were very nice, but the BruBru Lodge had beautiful grounds around the hotel with mango trees, papaya trees, flowers, plants, etc. The BruBru property also had a nice pool with several chaise lounge chairs with comfy pads for relaxing. Next came the 7 day Lemosho route climb. If I were to climb Kili again, I would sign up with Habari again, but choose the 8 day option instead, possibly with the Kosovo camp option. Thomas was our waiter and he did a great job. Praygod was our chef and made exceptional restaurant quality food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My travel companion and I were so were constantly amazed at the amazing quality and variety of foods for lunch and dinner. In the morning, we had eggs and pancakes for breakfast every morning which are two of my favorite breakfast foods and what I order at restaurants. We were always full after breakfast, lunch, and dinner and all of the meals were excellent. Yusuph was our mountain guide and he was simply extraordinary. He checked our Sp02 and pulse rate via a pulse odometer ever morning and evening, recorded the values, as well as how we were feeling. Yusuph led every step and let us know what the plans were for the next day and recommended how many layers we should wear as well as how much water to carry. If I were to climb Kili again, I would sign up with Habari and ask request Yusuph and Praygod again. Habari delivers an excellent service for an incredible price as compared to most of their competitors which represents an excellent value for your money. I was happy to sign up directly with a local Tanzanian company.

Our group of 3 completed an 8 day climb up Kili via the Lemosho route. We had such a memorable and wonderful time, and could not recommend Habari Adventures enough. Our guides, Yusuph and Justo, were incredibly professional, friendly and supportive. They completed a medical check twice a day and thoroughly prepared us for each day. We always felt we were in a safe pair of hands given their extensive experience (Yusuph had completed over 250+ climbs). The chef (Novaty) cooked amazing food for every meal - we were never left hungry and he’d always pop out of his cooking tent to check how we were. The rest of the porters were equally as amazing - so efficient in setting and packing up our camp, always smiling despite carrying large loads up and down the mountain. It was such a privilege to have them support us and we’re eternally grateful for all their hard work. We definitely couldn’t have come close to the peak without them. We found the pace of the 8 days perfect for our small group. There was a lot of down time which meant we were able to acclimatise well and rest. On summit night we were able to reach the peak at sunrise - Yusuph & Justo guided us at the perfect pace based on our fitness and altitude symptoms. Our summit porter, Allen M, also carried some gear and hot tea for us which was such a nice surprise. Stan and the office were also easy to deal with, and always responded promptly to our questions. We also found the price of the tour very competitive vs other companies. We absolutely loved our time on the mountain with the local team. So special and something we’ll never forget. We just finished the 8-day Lemosho Route with Habari Adventures and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Our guides Yusuph and Justo were amazing from start to finish. They were knowledgeable, fun professional. They always prioritised our safety and made us feel very comfortable. A highlight was learning Swahili off them! We also had nine porters who worked incredibly hard and were always friendly and happy to help. Kilimanjaro itself was amazing, but having such a great group around us made the experience even better. If you’re thinking about climbing Kilimanjaro, I’d definitely recommend Habari Adventures. Great people and a really well-run hike.

They said climbing Kilimanjaro would test our relationship. So we chose the Lemosho Route with Habari Adventures—because apparently, we enjoy challenging ourselves and each other! Six days of breathtaking scenery, tired legs, stolen kisses, endless laughter, and moments where one of us seriously questioned the other’s choice of holiday. But Habari Adventures made every step worth it. Their team handled the details while we focused on the views, the adventure, and reminding each other that “pole pole” applies to climbing… not to love! At the summit, we discovered something better than reaching the roof of Africa: we made a memory that neither of us can escape—even if we wanted to.

Summited August 4th with Habari and have nothing negative say. Solo female traveler joining three other climbers. Couldn’t recommend enough this company enough! Such an incredible experience! Stan was so helpful with trip questions and helping organize everything. Our guides Leon, Joseph, and Rayson along with the team made us feel at home, created a positive environment and felt completely safe. Great food, twice a day medical checks, clean water, etc. They made sure we had everything we needed. Booked a four day safari afterwards-Serengeti and Ngorongoro! I loved seeing all the animals and country of Tanzania:)

We just finished our Kilimanjaro climb with Habari Adventures and also did our safari with them afterwards. I really can’t say enough good things about the experience and especially about the people who took care of us. Our lead guide Benny was incredible. From the first day I felt like we were in very good hands. He was knowledgeable, patient and encouraging, but also knew when we needed a little push. As the altitude and exhaustion started kicking in, he was amazing at guiding us and motivating us every step. Awaleili was our assistant guide and he was wonderful. He was always there to help, encourage us and keep our spirits up. Benny and Awaleili made such a great team. The entire Habari crew made this trip very special for us. These guys work unbelievably hard. The food was so much better than I ever expected to eat on a mountain, and everyone was always smiling, and doing whatever they could to make us comfortable. You really develop such an appreciation for the crew when you see how much work goes into getting you up that mountain. Reaching the summit may have been our accomplishment, but there is absolutely no way we would have done it without them. We also did our safari through Habari after Kilimanjaro and I’m really glad we did. It was such a nice way to finish an already amazing trip and everything was taken care of for us. Kilimanjaro was one of the hardest and most amazing things I’ve ever done, and I will always remember the people who helped us get there. If you’re considering Kilimanjaro, I would absolutely recommend Habari Adventures. And if you can, ask for Benny and Awaleili. ❤️ Thank you Benny, Awaleili and the entire Habari crew.
