We had the MOST amazing experience. From the very first question, to every single communication, to arrival and pick up, to the very detailed and meticulous orientation, not to mention the entire 7 day climb where we were treated like the most important clients ever! This was a bucket list experience and Altezza and every single person who works for them, made us feel zero regret. We are so very pleased by our choice and cannot say enough positive things about it. Love, love, love the company!!!! ONE team, ONE dream!!!!

My friends I used Altezza Travel to hike Kilimanjaro, and it was awesome. Every interaction we had with the Altezza staff was positive. Everyone was professional, capable, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we were comfortable. We woke up each morning to tea and coffee being brought directly to our tents, and after a long day of hiking, the camp was set and the meals were incredible. Enest and Moses served us every bite we could fit in our stomachs and it was awesome. Chef Bakari is capable of making better food on a mountain than I can make in a full kitchen. The team also took our health and safety very seriously. We received excellent medical attention throughout the climb, and it was clear that the guides were well trained, well equipped, and prepared to handle anything that might arise. JT was an incredible Chief Guide and did a fantastic job leading our group. Salim, Neema, Valency, and Jackson were wonderful assistant guides, just to name a few. Hilary and Ibrahim were incredibly helpful—especially during the summit push, when I reached the point where I could barely carry a cup of water, much less my pack. 😂 The entire crew worked incredibly hard behind the scenes every single day. The porters carried an unbelievable amount, moved quickly up the mountain, set up camp, and made sure that when we arrived, everything was ready for us. We are extremely grateful to all of them. Climbing Kilimanjaro was tough, but Altezza took care of everything they possibly could so that we could focus on putting one foot in front of the other and enjoying the experience. We felt safe, supported, well fed, and genuinely cared for throughout the entire trek.I would absolutely recommend Altezza to anyone considering climbing Kilimanjaro.

An incredible experience with Altezza — highly recommended! We completed the 7-day Machame climb with Altezza, with a team of 56 supporting our group of 11 all the way to the summit. From start to finish, we were incredibly impressed with the entire Altezza operation. The airport pick-ups and drop-offs were seamless and extremely well organised. The hotel we stayed at before and after the climb, Aisha Machame in Moshi, was beautiful, well run, and had excellent food. Any issues we encountered (and there were very few) were dealt with quickly and easily. One thing that really stood out was the communication. We were never left wondering about anything, from tourist visas and trekking pace to breakfast times and the daily schedule. Everything was clearly explained and thoroughly communicated, which gave us a huge amount of confidence throughout the trip. The Climb The climb itself was tough, but an absolutely incredible experience. The entire Altezza team that supported us to the summit — guides, chefs, porters, waiters, camp masters, and summit assistants — deserve enormous credit. Everything was incredibly well organised, efficient, and, most importantly, safe. Our guides — Frank (team lead), Starson, Regan, Thomas, and Erick — were exceptional. They were highly knowledgeable, experienced, sensible, and professional, and went above and beyond to make sure every member of our group reached the summit safely. They also made the experience genuinely enjoyable, with plenty of laughs and great moments along the way. Their dedication, encouragement, and positive attitudes made a huge difference, particularly when things got tough. The camp masters, Abu and Maturo, the waiters, Linus and Ezekiel, and the chefs were equally fantastic. They provided what genuinely felt like five-star service at high altitude throughout the entire trip. We certainly weren't expecting that level of service on Kilimanjaro, but it was hugely appreciated. The enthusiasm, kindness, and welcoming attitude of the entire team were outstanding and added so much to the experience. Our only recommendation would be to take Altezza up on the option of having portable toilets rather than relying on the public toilets along the trail. This is absolutely not Altezza's fault, but the mountain toilet shacks leave a lot to be desired (and that's being very kind!). We were definitely jealous of those who had portable toilets brought up! Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience. Kilimanjaro was a challenging but unforgettable adventure, and Altezza played a huge part in making it such a positive one. We would highly recommend the Machame climb with Altezza, and in particular, the fantastic team we had looking after us. If you're considering climbing Kilimanjaro, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

10/10! We booked directly with Aletezza and our experience from airport to Uhuru peak and back to the hotel was exceptional. Special shout out to Frank, Erick, Regan, Tomas and Starson for providing exceptional guidance as we ascended to the top! Our Summit Assistant John Elvis was a tremendous support as well. The chefs curated delightful meals that powered us on our climb. The tents were roomy and set up at every camp before our arrival. Everyone in our group of 11 completed the journey which proved difficult, but possible with the help of our Altezza team!

We booked Altezza based on their strong reputation, and after my parents and I successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro and returned safely, we wanted to pay that forward. While our deepest appreciation extends to the entire support team, several individuals deserve special recognition. Our lead guide, Bosco, brings over 3 decades of mountain experience and steady leadership that gave us complete confidence from day one. Alongside assistant guide Regan, they maintained a “pole pole” (slow in Swahili) pace that was vital for our family's acclimatization. At camp, Godfrey ensured a welcoming, well-organized environment after demanding days on the trail. Chef Idd consistently delivered exceptional meals that kept our energy high, while Schwaibu provided attentive, thoughtful service throughout the trek. On summit night, our summit porters, Joakim and Benjamin, were indispensable—their dedication and physical support were instrumental to our success. Beyond their technical expertise, the entire crew’s positive attitude in challenging conditions were genuinely inspiring. During the most demanding stretches, their perspective reminded us that while the pain is momentary, the accomplishment lasts a lifetime. I highly recommend Altezza, and I strongly encourage anyone planning a climb to request this “mia mia” crew!

All the accommodations were very nice, our two-day safari, and the seven-day Kilimanjaro climb were arranged flawlessly. We had an absolutely fantastic time. We climbed Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route, and the entire support team was amazing. A special thanks to our guides Frank, Jonas, Aggrey and Anthony, who, together with the whole team, helped and guided us all the way to the summit. Magnificent experience, very rich both humanly and physically. Everything was perfectly organized, from our arrival at the airport to our return. We were very well taken care of throughout the entire adventure. A huge thank you to the entire team! The porters, the assistants, the cook, and of course our guides Aaron, Adam, and Donovan! They were wonderful with us. They supported, encouraged, and motivated us throughout the climb, especially during the last big ascent to the summit. On the last day, the guides and assistants were particularly attentive. They made sure that we were well hydrated, that we ate enough, and that we kept enough energy to succeed in this climb in the best conditions. Thanks also to Violeta, who stayed by my side during the final ascent. A big thank you to Paolo, who was wonderful with us. He served us breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and waited for us after the stages with hot tea, drinks, and cookies. His way of communicating was very touching, and we will keep an excellent memory of him. Thanks also to Hamza for his dedication and for all the work he accomplished every day at the camps, in conditions that were not always easy. He was extraordinary. The cook also did a remarkable job. We always ate very well, which is far from easy in such conditions. We will also not forget the person who took our backpacks after each stage, placed them in our tents, and even dusted off our pants. I unfortunately did not remember all the first names, because the team was large, but everyone contributed to our comfort and the success of this adventure. Thanks to Denis and the entire Altezza team. This climb of Kilimanjaro will remain an unforgettable experience for us!️

Preparation, execution, and experience were simply five stars! I felt well taken care of by Altezza from the beginning - a lot happens digitally before the trip via the personal dashboard. You are regularly reminded to get your vaccinations or to apply for the visa. During the Kili climb, a professional team takes care of all the amenities. In the tent, there is even a real mattress on which I slept well. In the evening, there is a hot water bottle. Daily medical checks ensure monitoring. The guides are well-trained and provide a clear briefing daily. Clear recommendation for these professionals!

The trip was truly amazing. The team before during and after the hike were extremely welcoming and helpful. Specific emphasis on the food, which was truly amazing. The trip itself was a once in a lifetime experience that I’ll never forget.

I could not have asked for a better tour operator to book with. I initially had planned to do the trek with my partner, but do to some logistical challenges, he was ultimately unable to join. Altezza was very flexible leading up to the trip, offering multiple options up until the day before I left. This demonstrated great value for the money even before the trip started. My arrival in Tanzania went very smoothly. An Altezza driver picked me up from the airport with no issue and drove me the hour from the JRO airport to the Aishi Machame hotel in Moshi. The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The day before leaving, I had a 1-1 meeting with an Altezza staff member to walk through all my gear and sort out any rentals I needed. On the actual trek, we had 3 very experienced guides - Eliakim, Hance, and Victor. They were all very friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. These 3 guides supported a group of 9 of us. With this high guide to hiker ratio, they were able to accommodate a couple times where some of us needed to go at a different pace than others, which was very nice. We were supported by a team of outstanding guides-in-training, porters, and chefs that also contributed to a great experience. While this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, if I were to do it again, I would definitely go with Altezza.
