I'm not about to forget this experience. It was truly a wonderful trip, meeting some lovely people and seeing tremendous landscape. Our guide was Misty - bit of a legend. She had stories to tell that grew our appreciation for the land, its people and their experiences. We camped under the stars, hiked for the sunrise, swam in natural water, swatted many flies and had miles and miles to get to know each other. It was a nice small group and a well planned trip. Thank you for the experience!

I did the 7-day tour from Yulara to Adelaide with Misty as our guide. To say it was great would be an understatement. It was sensational! Misty is a passionate guide (and excellent driver) with impressive knowledge, and on top of that, a wonderful person! She introduced us to the land and the Aboriginal culture without judgment, using her heart and understanding. I felt very well cared for at all times and can truly say this trip will stay with me forever.

We had a very nice experience with the tour. I travelled together with a friend and everything worked out very well. Our tour guide Eli made the experience perfect for us. Amazing experience! Hannah was a fab guide, and the group dynamic was fantastic and super inclusive. Such a special part of the world, and I would recommend to anyone, especially young solo travellers!

This tour was amazing! I didn’t really know what to expect coming into it, but I had the best time. The itinerary is great, and all of the activities, hikes, art galleries etc are 100% worth it! On top of that, the guide, Hannah, was extremely passionate, engaging and fun, which made the tour even better. All and all would recommend anyone to take part if they have the chance

I had the most fantastic time. Our guide Elliot was full of energy and knowledgable and had such positive attitude. Everything was well organised, thanks to Cameron, who answers all questions quickly. It was a trip of a lifetime. If you go to Australia, you have to go to the outback.

Amazing experiences throughout the adventure. Hannah, our guide was excellent and took time to explain Aboriginal culture, history and stories. We visited and hiked some incredible locations; the Uluru sunrise and Kata-Tjuta sunsets were spectacular, Kings Canyon was stunning, with the tranquility of the Garden of Eden water hole to the layers of rugged rock in the cliffs and formations. The opal mining experience at Coober Pedy was astonishing and the great hiking and best camping was in the Flinders Ranges. Hannah engendered a great team, communal spirit which made sitting around the camp fire and star gazing, simply the best experience. Sleeping under the Milky Way is magical. For me, it’s a must do adventure!

The trip with our guide Elliot was great. He made sure that we see a lot snd the knowledge he shared about aboriginal culture was excellent. It was a great mix of hiking, sitting together snd exploring.

This was an extraordinary trip from Ularu to Adelaide. The highlight was the two cultural experiences, one in Ularu and the other in Wilpena in the Flinders Ranges, led by aboriginal people who welcomed us to their land and shared some aspects of their culture with us. We had an excellent balance of culture, hiking, visiting historical sites and geological marvels. Hannah is a knowledgeable guide and a wonderful cook of vegan food (you won’t believe how good her lentil spaghetti bolognese is!). If you’re thinking of doing the great Australian outback adventure, this is it!

10/10 – An unforgettable experience with Untamed Escapes! I truly wish I was still waking up in my swag each morning—this tour was something I never wanted to end. The Uluru to Adelaide trip marked the final days of my time in Australia, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect way to conclude my journey. As a type-A planner, I especially appreciated Untamed Escapes' excellent communication leading up to the trip. They promptly answered all my questions via email and provided a detailed itinerary and thorough pre-packing guide—something most companies don’t take the time to do. It made a huge difference to know what to expect while still leaving room for surprises throughout the adventure. Our guide, Eli, was absolutely phenomenal—I can’t say enough positive things about him. From day one, our small group of six felt completely comfortable and at ease. Eli went above and beyond, not just with his safe driving and incredible meal prep (delicious Thai green curry!), but also with the care and energy he brought to each day. His passion for Australia, and especially for sharing and honoring Aboriginal culture, was both inspiring and deeply moving. He took the time to get to know each of us and made it clear how much he genuinely enjoys his work—something that makes all the difference on a long tour like this. Every day held thoughtful surprises and unique experiences, all thanks to Eli’s enthusiasm and care. We were incredibly fortunate to take part in two cultural tours led by different Aboriginal groups—one in Uluru and one in the Flinders Ranges. It’s hard to put into words how meaningful these experiences were. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn directly from these communities and to have had even a small glimpse into their rich traditions and culture, especially in light of the historical hardships they’ve endured. Thank you to Untamed Escapes for partnering with these groups and allowing us to be part of something so special. Overall, this trip was nothing short of magical—an experience I will treasure and reflect on for years to come. Each day was filled with awe and natural beauty, and I’ll especially miss the stargazing at night. I wasn’t sure how I’d get to see the Australian outback, but now I can confidently say there’s no better way than with Untamed Escapes. Thank you for the adventure of a lifetime!
