We were gracefully welcomed by Chandana, our tour guide cum driver at the airport in Colombo. He drove us to Elephant Orphanage Camp and on to Kandy where we spent two days. He explained to us what sights suited our desires. He got us front row seats at the Kandyan Culture Show. He drove us to Kalatura where we stayed for two days and then on to Colombo. We appreciated the space he gave us but also felt like a family member. He wasn’t intrusive in any way. He was always on time and accommodating us. He wasn’t intrusive knowledgeable and conversed well in English so our communication was clear. We’re grateful for the excellent service provided and the opportunity we had to visit Sri Lanka.

Siamo partiti con una guida e abbiamo trovato un amico. Ha reso la nostra luna di miele, un’esperienza indimenticabile. Siamo certi che senza di lui questa esperienza non sarebbe stata la stessa e ce la potremo nel cuore per sempre . Con lui ci siamo sempre sentiti al sicuro in particolare nel folle traffico di quest’isola. Non dimenticheremo mai tutte le pietanze che ci ha fatto provare e che abbiamo amato (in particolare il Kottu e il cibo indiano). Ringraziamo tantissimo Sahan in particolare per aver reso tutto fattibile anche per me, costretta a muovermi con il bastone. Non vediamo l’ora di ritornare anche per rivederlo! Non lo dimenticheremo mai. We started our journey with a guide and ended up finding a true friend. He made our honeymoon an unforgettable experience. We are certain that without him it wouldn’t have been the same, and we will carry him in our hearts forever. With him, we always felt safe, especially in the crazy traffic of the island. We will never forget all the amazing food he introduced us to, which we absolutely loved — especially Kottu and Indian cuisine. A very special thank you to Sahan for making everything possible for me as well, even though I had to move around with a cane. We can’t wait to come back and see him again. We will never forget him.

We had the most incredible honeymoon in Sri Lanka, and a huge part of that was thanks to Sahan. From start to finish, he went above and beyond - he is incredibly knowledgeable, introduced us to amazing local food spots, guided us on beautiful hikes, and came up with brilliant activities to fill our days. Sahan is a true professional and a gentleman. His car was always spotless, and he was wonderfully respectful of our mood - whether we wanted music, to chat and learn, or just some quiet to rest or nap. Early sunrise hikes for incredible views? No fuss. Late-night pickups after dinner? Always on time. He is also an ace photographer, capturing moments we will treasure forever. We felt completely safe in his hands, even navigating challenging roads and during the cyclone. His driving was impeccable and put us totally at ease on roads that initially felt daunting. We loved experiencing Sri Lanka with Sahan, and if we return, we wouldn’t book any hotels in advance - we would completely trust his recommendations. We cannot recommend him highly enough, and we are so grateful to have had him make our honeymoon truly unforgettable.
