I took some of my best photos of the trip during this excursion. The guide knew exactly where the best vantage points were for the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s. Even with the travel time from Ravenna, we had plenty of golden hour light to capture the beauty of the canals.
Literally had the best day ever! I was worried 7 hours wouldn't be enough, but we saw SO much. Our guide was like that cool history teacher everyone loves—full of fun facts but not boring. The leisure time was perfect for a quick pizza and some souvenir shopping near the Rialto.
Did this tour with my granddaughter and it was actually a lovely experience. Nothing too complicated, just walking around and enjoying the place. She really liked canals and boats, kept pointing at everything. Bit crowded in some areas but overall it was a nice easy day.
Beatrice was a total pro, no fluff, just deep historical context on the Venetian Republic. The atmosphere at st mark at sunset is unbearable. At this price point, the efficiency alone makes it worth the tour.
Seven hours in Venice felt just right for a first visit. There was enough time to explore, take photos, and even relax with a coffee by the water. The guide shared helpful information without overwhelming us. We returned to the ship on time feeling satisfied and happy.
The drive through the Italian countryside was beautiful. It took two to three hours, but it went fairly due to the breathtaking scenery. I really gasped when we arrived at Giudecca canal via boat. The licensed and obviously enthusiastic guide told us anecdotes about every corner.
Everything was organized to perfection. The transition from the Ravenna port to the water taxis in Venice was smooth. The 7-hour duration was just right—not too exhausting but very comprehensive. The gondola ride through the quiet canals was a dream come true
A great 7-hour trip to see Venice starting from Ravenna. The transport was comfortable and the timing was just right. We had enough time to walk around St. Mark’s Square, see the canals, and take photos of the famous bridges. It is a very practical and simple way to visit Venice if you are staying in Ravenna or coming from a cruise ship.
Incredible day trip. The guide’s knowledge of Venetian history added so much depth to the sights. Ravenna is a bit of a trek from Venice, but this tour makes the journey part of the fun.
The transfer from the cruise port was easy and the transportation comfortable. We were returning from a cruise and the driver was able to accommodate our luggage while we did the tour and then take us to our next destination. The transfer and the driver, Igor, was the best part of this experience even though he spoke no English. Once we arrived in the Venice port we were told by the tour guide that she just found out an hour prior that we would be joining and we had to wait for another group of 80 people. Half hour later we were finally on our way. The tour began on the transfer boat to save time we were told. We received roughly an hour and a half of a walking tour and then we were told that we could have free time and meet back at the port area. Except my family was informed we had to pay to make our way back to our transportation because he was leaving earlier. Luckily Igor had no problem waiting, why this wasn’t communicated with him directly is beyond me. Now it’s time to get back on the boat and our guide has abandoned us to give other tours! We paid roughly 220pp and not only was communication from the touring company to the tour guide company extremely poor but the tour itself was much shorter than the 7 hours! We didn’t gain entrance into anything! We were very disappointed.

You had to pay for the water taxi back to the parking area because your family was the only one that did not return to the designated meeting point after the free time. The guide did not abandon you—she was leading the main group to the parking area across the canal, as planned. 3. We could have easily left Venice without you, as all our buses had already collected all the guests. However, your guide and driver went above and beyond, searching for you in Venice despite your phone being out of service. Some cruisers can indeed be puzzling... 4. In return for those extra efforts, we received a 1-star review, we hope that you are treated the same by others in the future. 5. This tour includes round trip transfer from Trieste, and the full tour duration was delivered exactly as described in the itinerary. When booking with Viator in the future, we strongly recommend that you carefully follow the clear pickup instructions provided by your guide—otherwise, you may find yourself disoriented in any location outside your home city.
