Almost a decade ago, I emailed Druk Asia to enquire about a trip to Bhutan, but work commitments meant the trip never materialised. In March 2026, I revisited the idea, this time with no work schedule holding me back. Six months later, my friend and I finally made the trip and returned with some of our best travel memories to date. From the very beginning, Sonam was incredibly responsive and patient in addressing my many questions, from travelling at high altitudes (a first for me) to food preferences and itinerary adjustments. The level of care and attention gave me the confidence to proceed with the booking, and I am glad I did! Two out of the three accommodations exceeded our expectations, offering a homely experience and a glimpse into genuine Bhutanese hospitality. The meals were delicious, with a thoughtful mix of local and international cuisines catered to our dietary preferences. The warmth of the housekeepers at our stays in Paro and Punakha was especially memorable. I actually missed them dearly after returning home! Our guide, Choki, was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, while our driver, Thuji, took care of us as though we were old friends. I believe it was their encouragement and support that made our five-hour trek to and from Tiger’s Nest Monastery possible! The winding mountain roads between cities were particularly challenging for me due to motion sickness. Thuji went out of his way to make multiple stops, drive at a gentler pace and even source local motion sickness medication when the medication I brought along was not working well. His thoughtfulness made the subsequent road journeys so much more bearable. This level of care truly went beyond what I had expected. Choki also demonstrated the highest standard of guiding throughout the trip. He patiently answered our many questions about the iconic landmarks and important aspects of Bhutanese culture and history. His responsiveness on WhatsApp, both before and during the trip, was another reassurance that we were well taken care of. Ultimately, it was Sonam, Choki and Thuji who made this journey so enjoyable and memorable. Their professionalism, genuine warmth and personal touch made us feel less like tourists and more like friends visiting Bhutan. My trip to Bhutan was a truly spiritual, peaceful, and deeply fulfilling experience. From the breathtaking landscapes to the serene monasteries, every moment felt grounding and serene. From the very early planning stages, and all throughout the creation of our trip Sanjay Dorji at Druk Asia made sure that my dream of visiting Bhutan would be a reality. His patience and responsiveness made it seemless and stressfree. But our guide Kinley with Soul Trips made it an experience I wil carry in my heart forever. The 10 days were filed with cultural visits and hikes that immersed into the rich local life and instantly made us feel at home even thogh we were half way around the world. We had so much fun with KInley and our driver Denchen and every day was exactly what how we wanted it to be. Kinley's patience with our endless questions, his knowledge of birding, culture and experience resulted in the most incredible 10 days of my life. Bhutan is such an amazing country, and could be a bit bewildering to a foreigner without a good guide, There are other companies offering tours but I picked druk Asia/Soul Trips and it was the right choice. This short trip met and exceeded all of my expectations.

From the beginning we have had only positive vibes. Sujanji organized an extremely well chalked tour of 9 days and 8 nights as per our requirement . We had an amazing team of guide and pilot in Suraj and Nidupji. They were both so helpful, cooperative and smiling throughout. Gave us lot of good information, took us to the right places, advised us on what and where to buy. The car provided was also super spacious and clean and comfortable. The 9 days passed so beautifully in their company. My daughter fell sick on the last 2 days od return and both Suraj and Nidupji were so caring and considerate in helping us with buying medicines and looking after her. Really touched our heart when they came to see us off though officially they were off duty. Dance, song, jokes and so much warmth and care. We actually felt very emotional on the parting day . Our 7-day journey through Bhutan with Druk Asia was nothing short of extraordinary. The food in Bhutan was another wonderful surprise. Every meal was delicious, with a wide variety of options available, allowing us to experience both traditional Bhutanese dishes and comforting international cuisine throughout the trip. The accommodations were equally exceptional. Staying at Zhiwaling Heritage and COMO Uma Paro was truly unforgettable. Both properties offered not only stunning comfort and beautiful surroundings, but also a sense of peace and tranquillity that perfectly complemented the spirit of Bhutan itself. This trip gave our family more than just beautiful memories and photographs. It gave us moments of genuine connection, calmness, and appreciation that we will carry with us for a very long time. My husband and I (professional couple, Singaporean and Australian, in our mid 30s) have always wanted to travel to Bhutan. I did extensive research online, checking to see which tour company came recommended, and eventually decided on Druk Asia, due to the excellent online reviews and tripadvisor awards- and it was the best decision! Druk Asia provided excellent and prompt communication when booking the tour, competitive pricing, all services included (flights, accommodation, visa, tour guide, driver, all meals and water). The trip was provided by Soul Trips. Even though we booked a normal 3 star hotel package, all our accommodation were superb, and we even stayed in a villa with a million dollar view, for 1 night! Our tour guide (TP) and driver (Sonam) were extremely professional, knowledgeable and ALL-STAR personalities! We ate mostly buffet meals which were all delicious. We wanted to have a more authentic experience, and opted for 1 night homestay, and also had a homestyle meal in a farm house. The whole trip was unfaultable. We came back spiritually recharged with brand new perspective in life. One of our most memorable holidays. I highly recommend anyone thinking of travelling to Bhutan, to book with Druk Asia!

One random invitation in Jan to a destination that wasn’t on my radar — this trip to Bhutan turned out to be pure magic. This trip felt guided by something higher. Everything flowed seamlessly: the right people, perfect timing, and even the right music playlist. Fate brought us to our incredible guide - Sonam Choki (whom we dearly call Sam). He led us off the beaten path on adventurous hikes at our request, to meeting Khenpos and receiving literal blessings throughout the journey. We were also assigned with drivers who ensured we were comfortable and safe throughout. One of the most liberating moments was an unplanned visit to an orphanage monastery where the blessings moved me to tears. That same day, we caught two of the most complete rainbows I’ve ever seen. Talk about perfect alignment and timing. Even at the crowded Tiger’s Nest, we were gifted tranquility—a quiet moment with the Khenpo and a private performance of traditional music. The entire trip felt like a sacred alignment. From start to finish, the universe had our backs - every single moment fell perfectly into place; every moment a reflection of higher grace. Still amazed that everything unfolded in perfect, cosmic synchronicity. Thank you Druk Asia & Sam for this extraordinary experience!
