⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We spent 6 days and 5 nights exploring Tanzania, from Serengeti and Ngorongoro to Tarangire, and it turned out to be one of the most meaningful and unforgettable trips of our lives. A huge thank you to our guide, Nuru. Thanks to his incredible knowledge and sharp eyes, we saw everything we had hoped for—including the Big Five, the Ugly Five, and many other amazing animals. No matter what we asked, he always had an answer. He taught us not only about the animals and their behaviors, but also about Tanzanian culture, traditions, faith, and everyday life. You could truly feel how much he loves his country and his work, and because of him, we left Tanzania with a much deeper appreciation for this beautiful place and its people.“ if we couldn’t finish it, we share it with others instead”.It was a simple lesson, but one that stayed with us long after the trip ended. He also found the perfect spots for wildlife viewing and breathtaking sunsets, and even helped us take some of our favorite photos from the trip. A special thank you to Leonard, who gave us an excellent price and organized everything seamlessly from the lodges and flights to our helicopter experience. Everything exceeded our expectations. There are many safari companies in Tanzania, but it’s rare to find people who genuinely care about creating a meaningful experience for their guests. This wasn’t just a safari. It was a journey we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

We enjoyed our first safari experience with Meru Slopes! Kelvin created a perfect itinerary for us to visit all the national parks in Tanzania and included a cultural village tour with a coffee experience on the last day, because we said we were interested in coffee. He was also very responsive on WhatsApp and answered our queries readily. He also constantly checked in and ensured that our tour ran smoothly and safely for the week. Our guide Jackson Leyeyo is wonderful. He has a sharp eye and spotted the animas that we wanted to see at the safari. We were able to catch the big five in this trip thanks to him! He always gave us ample time to take pictures of the animals before filling us up on facts about the animal. Another thing we appreciated during the tour was having hot food during lunch. It was delicious and kept us full for the duration of the game drive. Unfortunately our jeep broke down on the second last day and we were stranded for a bit in Ngorongoro, and Jackson tried his best to fix the car. The car could not be fixed but Jackson arranged for us to join another group for the final game drive in Ngorongoro. He ensured our safety during the situation and handled the car issue while we were still able to complete the last game drive. After the game drive, Meru Slopes also arranged a private transfer to take us back to Arusha from Ngorongoro. We were very pleased with how Meru Slopes handled the situation. Overall, we are pleased with Meru Slopes’ tour and service. It made our safari trip a truly memorable experience.

I have traveled many parts of the world, and this experience is near the very top of the list. Meru was fantastic to work with - Almachis the director was extremely fast to respond and answer any questions. Our guide, Robert, couldn’t have been more excellent. From morning until night, everyday, he was working to ensure we had an incredible experience. From ensuring we had incredible views to making sure wildlife didn’t nab our lunch, he was always on job and professional. Let me just say, WOW!! 🤩 our Safari experience with Meru Slopes was above and beyond what our initial expectations were. And one of the main reasons we had such a great experience was because we had the best guide ever, his name was Samwel Bahane. We did our safari in the first week of February during the Wildebeest calving season, and Samwel made sure we saw everything on our bucket list - from the big 5, to predator prey interactions, and we even got some bonus experiences that we weren’t expecting to see (honeymoon lions making love - it was crazy!). It seems like we saw every animal in Tanzania in our 6 days! Not only that, but Samwel is so knowledgeable about all the different animals and their behavior, so not only did we get to witness their beauty, but we got to learn about all their quirks. This made the experience even more special. Samwel made sure we were well taken care of from day 1 and until the very last day. He always made sure to maintain the vehicle so that it was clean and tidy for us after each day, which makes a big difference when you’re spending 8 hours in the car each day. On the last day, he took us to all our requested stops on our way back to Arusha when we wanted to buy gifts to commemorate the experience. I will be recommending Meru Slopes and Safari to all my friends and family, and I’ll specifically recommend that they request Samwel Bahane to be their guide, because we couldn’t have had such an amazing experience without him. Thank you Samwel for making sure we got our money’s worth, and more!! Also, please make sure to tip your guide at least the recommended amount - it may seem like a lot at first, but once you see how much work they put in to give you the best experience, you soon realize that the recommended tip amount is well deserved, especially if you’re with Samwel :) Lastly, I need to give a big thanks to our booking liaison, Almachius. He is the one who helped us coordinate our trip and booked us in some of the most wonderful hotels and camps, which beat our expectations! He was so communicative throughout the entire booking process beforehand, during the trip, and even near the end of the trip. He showcases the care and quality that Meru Slopes seeks to provide their clients. Some companies go quiet after you’ve paid, but not Meru Slopes - Almachius made sure to answer all our questions throughout the experience :)

Our safari trip was absolutely amazing, from the drivers to the lodging. Samwal Bahane was an awesome tour guide—super knowledgeable, patient, and always happy to answer our questions. He took us to great locations and made sure we saw the animals we were most excited about. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better experience. Highly recommend! 🐘🦒✨

Meru slopes provided us exactly what we were looking for in our bucket list Safari adventure vacation. Our driver and guide Santaely was extremely knowledgable, capable and well experienced to give us six great days of Safari sightings. We saw many cheetah in action, elephants coming very close to us, many lions lying around and all the rest of the Animal Kingdom. Our guide also went out of his way to show and explain to us the local culture and the Maasai people. The accommodations we had and the meals were second to none. I highly recommend this company and our guide for anybody looking for a high-quality Safari vacation.

We had a fantastic experience during our Safari in Tanzania, all thanks to Meru Slopes, Jerome our agent who helped us build an itinerary that fit our wishes and especially thanks to Patrick, wise and knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humour. Not only does Patrick have great skills for spotting wild animals, he is also so great at spotting birds, at explaining animal behaviors and being patient with us when we wanted to take pictures and especially when we asked hundreds of questions! Our car broke in Serengeti (this can happen, due to the state of the roads in the parks, we saw it happen to other people as well) and the situation was managed perfectly by Meru Slopes. Another car came to get us (thank you Max!) and drove us at sunset back to our lodge, and took us for a game drive the following morning while Patrick was getting the car fixed, it was all smooth for us and we were barely affected by this issue. The lodges that Jerome arranged for us were perfect, high standard, we had hot water, electricity and always delicious food at breakfast, dinner and lunch. Just one time after heavy rain the truck bringing water to the migration camp (in the middle of Ndutu park) got stuck in the mud, so we could not shower for one day. Nothing too problematic especially when we consider the state of the roads and the fact that we were in the middle of nothing. At our request Jerome also organized a hot air balloon ride for us, it was the most breathtaking experience of our lives. The whole safari experience was incredible, thank you Meru Slopes for making it so special. And thank you Patrick for being the best guide we could ask for!
