Our guide Malang and driver were excellent! We felt well taken care of throughout the trip and Mika, the company owner, made sure to check in on us to make sure that everything was going well. All activities were included just as listed in the trip description and flexibility was given to us to make stops whenever needed. Some highlights were staying in the Lompoul Desert and Toubacouta where we had a lovely hotel (Keur Saloum). When going to Senegal, remember that services are not the same as in the U.S. or Europe so you need to be prepared for hotels that don’t always have the same amenities and long drives that can sometimes be difficult due to traffic and speed bumps!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Triptoursenegal. Mika helped me plan the tour through both Senegal and The Gambia. The tour of Senegal included Dakar, Goree Island, Pink Lake, Saint-Louis, Parc de Djoudj (do not miss if you are a bird fan), Touba and the Great Mosque. The tour of The Gambia included, the Wausau Stone Circles, River Gambia National Park (Bamboo Island absolutely fabulous), Georgetown, Kunta Kinteh Island and Banjul. My guide (Malang) and driver (Samba) were incredibly professional and absolutely wonderful companions for the trip ensuring everything ran smoothly and that I was able to see all the sites I was interested in seeing. There were also local guides in some locations who were also very good. I can’t think of anything I would change. Highly, highly recommended tour company. You won’t be disappointed.

Mika Guisse and his driver Samba are great people. Me and my sister were a bit worried before we came to Senegal as we didn’t know so much about the culture and how things work in country. Immediately when we met Mika we felt safe. He is realiable, secure, efficient, very kind and really organized. I would like to describe him as a real ”peoples person” doing the absolute best for his customers!!! I also want to mention that me and my sister have travelled a lot as travelling is the best we know. We enjoy to see new countries and experience different cultures. I can honestly say that this tour with Mika is the absolute best tour we EVER experienced before! The tour was full of new experiences every day, not a single one was disappointing, just the opposite! It has been terrific in every way 👍👍👍! We are definitely trying to go on another tour with Mika in the future.

The whole trip was very well organised and planned. We managed to achieve all the objectives planned and more. The guide was very helpful and tended to our every needs. The locations are beautiful and let you enjoy every part of the local culture. For an introduction in Senegal this tour is the best. It touches maybe the most important places in this amazing country. I highly recommend using Mika's expertise in planning a trip to Senegal.

What can I say? Senegal is not the easiest country to travel in but Mika and his staff make it impeccable and comfortable! I was assigned a GREAT guide and driver (Malang Sanga and the driver Samba) and they were incredibly great. Malang speaks perfect English and although he is only 25 years old, he is mature far beyond his age. He knows the country and everyone in it! I’m a photographer and an avid drone flyer and Malang already knows all the great places to fly drones and makes it all happen so easily. He also flies them and so he was enthusiastic and encouraging about the work we were doing at all times. But you don’t have to be a photographer. You may love food or history or sightseeing or adventure. What is great about Mika’s company is that he will tailor the tour perfectly to suit your needs and desires. And he knows pretty much everyone in the country so it’s easy to get things right, just for you. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

We were lucky enough to experience an incredible journey through Africa, exploring Senegal and Gambia—and a huge part of what made it so special was our guide, Mika. From the very beginning, he was kind, helpful, professional, and truly passionate about what he does. Mika was more than just a guide; he was a true travel companion. He always took the time to explain the history, culture, and traditions of the places we visited, answering every question with patience and insight. He made us feel safe, welcomed, and completely immersed in the local experience, showing us hidden gems off the typical tourist path. Thanks to Mika and our driver Ali, this became one of the best trips we’ve ever taken. As written in the title, with Mika and her crew I found new friends. It was not the usual journey with guide and driver but a meeting of souls, magnificent souls and super deep. Visiting the beautiful places of Senegal and Gambia with these people allowed me to learn about their culture with no superficial eyes. And then whatever... professionalism, knowledge, resilience. All ingredients of a perfect tour thanks to Triptoursenegal. Highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible trip with Mika. In a place where everything doesn't always go smoothly, the entire week went flawless. Mika designed an incredible itinerary showing our family the best of Senegal and Gambia that kept even 2 jaded teenagers engaged. He seems to know every single person in both countries. His knowledge and friendliness are unsurpassed, and his choices of hotels were perfect for our family. He worked hard behind the scenes and was able to think on the fly to quickly conquer any minor bumps in the road. I can't hesitate to recommend Mika strong enough for anyone hoping to visit Senegal and/or the Gambia.
