Travelers should know not to book with Viator. I was present and ready to sail as booked. No one was there. Apparently there was miscommunication between Viator and the fishing company. It caused me much unnecessary Aggervation and frustration. Just book directly with the company itself. You may save money and will have less stress. I will never book with Viator again.
Be prepared and ready to be far out in the ocean, my little brother panicked for a good bit. He did eventually come around and is still telling stories about this trip! 🫶🏻
★★★★★ We took 13 people on the 6 hour morning party boat fishing trip and had a blast! We had kids, adults, and seniors. We had a great time and caught 24 lbs of red snapper, a dozen trigger fish(none were big enough to keep), and a handful of different kinds that weren't keeping size or eating fish. They cleaned them for .50 a Ib. The captain kept us on the fish all trip and the crew worked their butts off making sure everyone was happy and having fun. They have a cabin with air conditioning and plenty of shade when you need to get out of the sun for a few minutes. It was well worth the price paid and we made lots of memories and got tons of great pics. We fried the snapper filets later that evening for a delicious fresh fish dinner! These guy's are family friendly professionals and deserve the 5 star review! One last thing, the first mates work in the service industry(like a waiter) and rely on tips, so come prepared to show your appreciation, which is well deserved.
Would absolutely recommend this experience, the crew finds the best spot for fishing. I caught over 15 fish myself on a boat of about 30 people. The crew is very experienced and knowledgeable. It was awesome getting to know people also. The crew also cleans the ship really good. It was an awesome day! I would do this again while visiting Destin!
Horrible experience. I planned a vacation out there had things planned for certain days. THEY canceled on me and put me on another day. I told them I would try to make it and then in the same day told them I couldn’t move my schedule around and had an issue so wasn’t gonna be able to make that day work. They refuse to respond to me or give me credit for THEIR cancellation. Do better… do not book with these guys!
The shipmates were remarkably helpful and courteous. However, the equipment was outdated and in poor condition, which was a significant disappointment considering the cost of the voyage. The number of passengers on board was excessive, resulting in frequent tangled lines. Additionally, the ship did not anchor at the designated fishing locations, which diminished the opportunity for fishing because of interwining lines.
This was the perfect “guy outing”. Our 5 and 7 yr old grandsons had a blast. As soon as their lines were in, the fish were biting! The crew was extra helpful and extremely friendly. Even though the boat would hold 38 people, there was plenty of room to not be crowded!
Bring snacks and drinks. When baiting your hook with squid, watch out for the ink 😆 The team was great, very engaging.
The captain and crew were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. This was our first deep sea fishing adventure.
The title of this excursion is a bit misleading. This is not necessarily family friendly (for younger kids or elderly people) and it’s by no means a “party boat”. This should be advertised as “6-hour fishing trip”. This is not a comfortable boat that you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a beverage. The captain and deck hands were great and accommodating and the trip was fine for the true purpose of fishing but it needs to be advertised as just that. Also, my husband is 6’2, 250 lbs and had a hard time navigating his way around the boat…it’s not made for anyone over average size to comfortably walk around. He was basically stuck in the same spot for the entirety of the trip.

We understand that this may not be the experience everyone is looking for. The term “party boat” can definitely be confusing. In the fishing industry, it refers to a shared fishing charter with multiple guests, not a party or entertainment cruise.
