Nice winery with a view of the water! The wines are all produced by organic means and low intervention practices. Additionally, the use of local grapes and traditional practices left us tasting very unique and delicious wines. The tasting also included their own olive oil and tastings of local cheeses and bread.
Lovely experiance with amazing views. All the wines we tried were delicious and we came away with 2 bottles that we purchased at reasonable price.
Overall our experience at Sarris Winery was amazing… the views, the service, and wine was lovely. If I had to give some feedback it would be on the final drink ‘wingroni’ this wasn’t it most palatable drink. I would recommend as you do get a wine list and a pen to note down which ones you liked to best and least that the final drink be the one of your favourites ☺️

Our visit to Sarris Winery was a highlight of our trip to Kefalonia. Highly recommended. Our wine tasting with George, Sarris’ assistant wine maker, was outstanding. He is as personable as he is knowledgeable. Not only did we enjoy Sarris’s wines, but learned about wine in Kefalonia in general.

We visited following a meal at the local Sarris Restaurant and stay at the best beach so far on the island. The wine tasting experience was excellent. Each wine was presented beautifully, with clear explanations about the grape varieties, vineyard locations, and interesting details about the production process. The biggest surprise was their Wine’groni — a clever twist with a hint of the bitters you’d expect in an Aperol‑style drink. A really impressive creation. The setting itself is gorgeous, with a lovely view, and George was absolutely fantastic throughout.

Absolutely fabulous evening tasting Kefalonian wine with the sun slowly setting. Our host was knowledgeable, friendly and so passionate about the wine. We started with a wonderful sparkling wine before tasting 4 wines and finishing with a wine cocktail all in all a wonderful experience made all the better for being a treat from my daughter. We left with a couple of bottles for Christmas and the name of a uk importer so we can top up at home! Would highly recommend.

Not a vineyard, nor even a winery, just a wine bar, where a harassed and tired sommelier was attempting to run at least 3 different tasting sessions at the same time, but which had started at different times. He was therefore rushed off his feet and, in the one and half hours we were there, he must have spent an aggregate 10 minutes attending to us. Very few tasting notes, no pairing notes and we were merely served olive oil, dry bread, a couple of cherry tomatoes (from a fridge) and a little feta (dispensed from a tupperware container) so not very stylish... The poor guy was so tired that he did not even attempt to sell any of us any wine! Suggest going elsewhere on the island if you are looking for a more informative and classy experience on a wine tour/tasting.

To clarify for future guests, we are indeed a boutique working winery—our wines are produced right here in Avithos, from our own vineyards around the island. We apologize if the ‘behind-the-scenes’ nature of our tasting space felt more like a bar than the vineyard experience you were looking for. Regarding the service, we aim to give every guest our full attention. We clearly hit a peak time where our host was stretched too thin, and we are currently reviewing our booking slots to ensure this doesn't happen again. As for our pairings, we choose to serve simple, authentic local products—like our own olive oil and local cheese—to keep the focus on the wine, but we appreciate your feedback on the presentation. We would love the chance to welcome you back for a much more relaxed and 'classy' session on us in the future. Please reach out to us directly if you return to Kefalonia.
We were very disappointed, the sommelier George is a nice guy but can't run front of house meeting and greeting , washing up and the wine tasting all at the same time. We tasted 5 wines and spent over and hour and 15 mins at the winery with less than 10 mins of the explanation of the wines in total.We were left a lot on our own as a group of 15 people while waiting for George to return dealing with front of house customers not on our tasting etc. We paid 15 euro each not really a good experience , the location is great , they don't grew any grapes here but do bring grapes in and make wine on site , just turn it into a wine bar.

Regarding our winemaking, while our grapes are harvested from specific terroirs across the island to ensure the best quality for each variety, we are a fully functioning winery where every bottle is produced on-site with passion.
