Very good being in a small boat with probably max 8 people. Guide really does not need to talk all the time. Much better to answer questions. We had perfect weather but it was really windy I would not have got on this boat

Beautiful ride down the Douro River. Guide was very knowledgeable. Nice intimate boat ride with only 10 guests.

We were very disappointed. We thought we had booked a tour with one of the professional boat tour companies but our captain was an independent boat owner and wasn’t very professional. The meeting place was about 30 minutes away from where all the professional boat tour companies launch, our captain was not a very knowledgeable guide and we were served two very small samples of port wine in plastic glasses that didn’t look like they had been cleaned from the prior tour. We paid about $40@ and didn’t feel like it was worth the price.

We chose this excursion because of the reviews. We wanted to be on the water for sunset and enjoy a small group experience rather than a large boat with many people. Filipe was our captain and he greeted us warmly and treated us as friends! The meeting point was easy and even though traffic held us up, he called via WhatsApp and gathered us without delay! We were able to use the facilities before the boat ride and as we came aboard we met Bruno who was an excellent skipper, navigating bigger boat waves and making the ride as smooth as possible! Filipe interacted with everyone, joked and told history of Porto. It was a fantastic evening!! Could the boat have been more luxurious? Sure, but for the time, and experience it was the best! We went very far down the river almost out of Porto, and went back and went very far to the oceans gate… you could smell the salt water! The timing was perfect. They asked days in advance to move the tour 1/2 hour prior for best sunset views due to time change and that was very thoughtful and worth it! Highly recommend! Tell Filipe NY sent you!

Our guide Philip was very knowledgeable and engaging--exactly what you'd like in a guide, personable and funny. It was a sunset trip--very smooth and effortless for us. He took a few photos of us, with one of our phones--at sunset. A romantic moment.

This boat trip was the highlight of our trip. I’ve done the touristy boat trips with audio guide in Porto before and they don’t compare to this one. The guide was very engaging, funny and informative. It was great to learn about Porto’s history and the six bridges, but also local facts and insights from the guide. The guide was able to answer all of our questions. Port wine was great too.

The TOUR GUIDE was very pleasant. Unfortunately myself and several other people were very frustrated and confused with the meeting point. It was not clearly marked where to meet. The address that was given as a meeting point was up the hill at a café, not close to the boat.

We had a great experience on this tour. Adriano was a great character.He demonstrated a vast knowledge of Porto, Portugal and its relation to England. The journey was calm and very enjoyable and finished off beautifully with the sun setting under the bridge. Thoroughly recommend this small personal tour.
