We had the most amazing captain (Carmine) to the most amazing place, Capri. We hugged the coastline of Sorrento, saw some beautiful natural features of the coastline (waterfalls, grottos), and learned about some of the amazing history of Sorrento. We then spent the day circumnavigating Capri with stops at the Blue Grotto, made a wish under the Faraglioni rocks, and had a leisurely swim off the coast of Capri. Carmine took us to an amazing authentic seafood restaurant for lunch and spent the remainder of the afternoon exploring Capri. We had the most fabulous day and would always recommend Carmine as a captain.

Beautiful boat trip to Positano and Amalfi
We had a perfect day on the boat with Giovanni! He told us lots of interesting things about the coast and took us to a nice restaurant at the beach for lunch that you can only reach by boat. We had been doing some walking tours around Sorrento before, but the view from the sea was absolutely stunning and I would always recommend to do a boat trip as well!

Highly recommend private boat!
Highly recommend hiring your own private boat with Nautica Sic Sic as they are very professional and have a lot of knowledge when it comes to the Amalfi and Sorrento coast. Our boat rental got cancelled by a different company so we went to the harbor and Nautica Sic Sic was able to accommodate us on such short notice. The person in the office was very helpful and luckily was able to find a skipper for the day. Giovanni “Johnny” was our skipper for the day, he was very knowledgeable with the area, easy to talk to and took us to a lot of cool places to swim, overall a great skipper!

Great boating today. Staff was excellent
The booking process was easy. I did not have my passport for Identification. The staff contacted my hotel so I could go ahead and rent a boat.
Was able to use a credit card to pay for the boat and the gas used. There was a map and a interactive phone based guide that could help if you have cell signal.
The boat staff was extremely helpful with a thorough explanation and help getting people on and off the boat. Found this to be a great value for the fun factor. Best thing we did all week on the Almalfi Coast vacation

Sorrento - Positano - Capri Boat Excursion
We had the best day ever on our trip with Nautica Sic Sic!
Our captain, Luca, was so kind, helpful and knowledgeable - he knew all the good spots and when to avoid busy areas. He gave us lots of interesting facts and history on the gulf of Naples, Capri & Positano.
Even when the sea got a little bit rough, Luca stayed calm and made sure we felt safe and happy!
Would definitely recommend this boat trip as you have the freedom to plan your day with the captain, can spend time relaxing, swimming and snorkelling and get to see some amazing places along the coast!
Thanks Luca, we had the best day out with you! Will definitely be telling friends and family to come and use this company!

Best Way to Visit to Positano, Amalfi and Capri
We rented a RIB for the day and visited Positano, Amalfi, and Capri. It's the best way to visit those places and truly experience the beauty of the coast. The trip gave us memories for a lifetime.
We drove the boat ourselves and it was easy to navigate the area despite not being completely familiar with the whole area.
The check in process was easy and the boat was in great condition.
While Nautica Sic Sic isnt the cheapest option to rent a boat in Sic Sic, there prices are very competitive and I had the piece of mind knowing the boat was in good condition.
I highly recommend using Nautica Sic Sic and exploring the Amalfi coast at your own pace.

Self-Drive Boat the way to go
I'm American with a boaters license and if you have experience and want to see Capri and Positano from the water, rent a self-drive boat for the day from Nautica Sic Sic. We rented a 26 foot, twin outboard Joker. It has bimini top, refrigerator under the seat and plenty of space to lay out. Around Sorrento, you can anchor 300' offshore and need to stay 1000' when motoring around. Around Capri, there are no restrictions and you can anchor much closer and go swimming at the Green Gotto. We skipped the blue grotto rip off and enjoyed the other spots very much. Not having to drive the Amalfi coast wasn't missed either. It is a bit disappointing at how dirty the Med is though. Sometimes clear but a lot of floating trash near shore.
All in, the boat was 350 Euro and another 160 Euro in fuel. We went about 65 miles total. Our boat had twin 150 four-stroke Yamaha's and we never went faster than 20 knots. Mostly 12-15. I think not being on plane might have used a bit more fuel but for an eight hour day and the boat to ourselves, you can't beat it.
Even on a nice day, the Med can get choppy and the ferries and other boats leave some major wakes to navigate. I don't think a shorter boat would be very comfortable and we saw a few 18-20 footers bouncing around. Looked unpleasant.
The team at Nautica Sic Sic made it easy and we booked a few weeks in advance sending copies of the boat license and safety certificate. (not necessary but always good to have). We showed up at 9:30 for a 10-6 rental ane were on the water by 10 heading out. You do not have to dock the boat. They track you by GPS in case of trouble and there is strong cell service everywhere you'll go. When you come in, they come out to bring the boat in to dock. Like a harbor pilot. One less way you'll damage things. Also, if you follow directions and stay offshore, including outside of the red marker around the Sorrento point, you will not find any water hazards, rocks or shallows.
Per their guidance, we went around Sorrento to Positano first and then around Capri west and east (Clockwise). There were far fewer boats and waves later in the day at Capri which made it a more calm and enjoyable experience.
One thing to note - their office is at the bottom of the hill to the right and around the corner. A little tough to find. A taxi from the top to the bottom is 15 euro for about 1/4 mile. A total rip off but when you're carrying water, food, and stuff for the day, it's the way to go.

The best day of our entire trip to Italy!
We tried to rent a private boat from the concierge at the Hilton, she said everything was sold out and she was not very helpful. We knew we waited until the last minute but we were determined to see Capri and wanted a private boat. So we walked to the port of sorrento and happen to find their storefront. We booked for the following day and it was the last boat available. When we arrived to board the boat, they were super friendly and very professional. Our driver was Francesco and he was the best. He was an excellent guide. He brought us to a restaurant on Capri that was delicious and right on the water at marina piccolo. He also got us a taxi to go to Capri and was waiting for us on return. We have 2 teenagers w us and they loved the swimming and the blue water. The tour was from 10am -6pm -which was also nice bc some of the others started at 7:45 and are too early for teens. We were also able to buy frozen water bottles from them to use in the cooler for the drinks we brought w us. I would with out a doubt say this was our best day of our entire trip to Italy. Thank you Francesco, you were fantastic!!
