Jenny was a phantastic guide. She worked around dietary requirements, planned in a flexible way, was proactive with ideas and took very good care of us. She showed us her region with stories and facts and we loved her food recommendations. My personal favorite was the impressive cave and the Zhangjiajie forest park.

Check the weather forecast before planning your trip to Zhangjiajie. Your experience can be terrible in case of rainy and cold weather. Visit to Furong and Fenghuang Ancient Towns are a must. The Tianmen Fox Fairy Show was marvellous. Our guide Chandler was exceptional. He spoke good english and was very helpful throughout the tour.

We had a very enjoyable well-paced tour of the scenic sites in Zhangjiajie. The booking was smooth and Andy from the tour agency contacted us immediately after the booking was confirmed and helped advice on train bookings. Our tour guide, Lillian, met us at the train station at 10:30pm to bring us to our hotel. The daily itinerary was planned with flexibility to accommodate inclement weather. Her friendly demeanor, clear explanations at the various sights, photography skills and sharing about life in China made the trip more enjoyable. We appreciated her thoughtfulness (eg personalized fridge magnets, fruits for long hikes) and her company on our trip. I would recommend this tour and the guide for those considering a personalized tour of Zhangjiajie with an English speaking guide.

Zhanjiajie is one of the most scenic attractions in the world I have been travelled and visited. The unique and special types of mountain and lakes make the places unforgettable. The tourist guide is very professional, helpful and friendly. That makes the trip enjoyable and wonderful.

I've had the privilege to travel several parts of the world in Europe, Americas and Asia Pacific and the beauty of Zhangjiajie National Forest park( Avatar mountain), Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon and Tianmen mountain now tops the list of the most breathtaking scenery I've ever seen. The parks are huge with options of routes via bus/boat/cablecar/slides/flying fox/ faretta/elevators /escalators/walks. Hence I would strongly recommend having a good guide to share all the options and recommend the best route according to your needs. This will enable you to maximize your time to fully enjoy the beauty of Zhangjiajie. For example, the attached photo was from an optional route to a padi field that our guide Chandler recommended. It offered majestic views of the avatar mountains opposite of the Bailong elevators For those looking for a local guide to share not only the beauty but also the rich history of China, as well as logistical help from transit connections to hotels to restaurants and details such as foot massages, I will recommend you look to Andy and his team of professional English speaking guides like Chandler!
