This was my first tour of this kind, and Stephen made it unforgettable. To me, it was the perfect balance of relaxing and informative. I learned a lot about Ireland's history by seeing places first hand, and every day had a generous helping of natural beauty. Ireland is truly an amazing place, and I am grateful I had Stephen's style of introduction to it. I also enjoyed the smaller tour group, as we got to know the other group members along the way, which made things that much more fun to experience together.

This was a whirlwind of a trip with a wealth of culture, history, and the grandeur of Ireland. Stephan, our guide, absolutely made the trip. He was so knowledgeable about Ireland’s history, stopped at the best photo ops, and made sure the group was well taken care of! Slainte, Stephen!

Our recent tour of Ireland with Rabbie’s Tours was everything we hoped a journey through Ireland would be—and more. Over the course of the trip, we traveled from Dublin through Belfast and Derry, across Donegal and along the Wild Atlantic Way, through Connemara and Galway, and finally back to Dublin. We saw castles, abbeys, ancient ruins, dramatic coastlines, mountains, villages and roads that seemed to disappear into the landscape. But the real highlight was Ireland itself. We experienced the country in every kind of weather. There were warm, dry days, gentle Irish mist and, eventually, the real rain—the kind that soaks your jacket and turns mountains into shadows. Somehow, it all made the scenery better. Ireland seems to know exactly how to make its landscape feel bigger. We walked the walls of Derry and learned about its troubled past. We stood among the murals and peace walls of Belfast and were reminded how much history can still live in a place. We visited Dunluce Castle, Cong Abbey, Kylemore Abbey and the landscapes of Connemara. We traveled the Sky Road, saw the Killary Fjord, crossed the countryside and followed roads that often seemed more like part of the scenery than a way to get somewhere. And there were the unexpected moments—the street performers, marionettes, quiet villages, roadside ruins, sheep, surfers at Keel Beach in Achill; braving the cold North Atlantic surf off the wild Atlantic way, rainbows, good meals and conversations with people along the way. Those are often the moments that stay with you longest. A large part of the success of the trip was Rabbie’s Tours. The small-group format made the journey feel personal rather than like being moved from one attraction to another. Our driver-guide did more than navigate the roads. He became our storyteller, historian and local connection, adding context and humor along the way and helping us discover places we might otherwise have missed. There was no rush to simply check boxes on a sightseeing list. We had time to stop, look, photograph and enjoy the places we were passing through. As a photographer, that mattered. Ireland gave us light, weather, mountains, mist, roads and landscapes that seemed to change by the minute. Sometimes the best photograph was not the grand attraction but a bend in the road disappearing into the rain. By the end of our trip, Ireland felt less like a place we had visited and more like a story we had briefly stepped into. We will happily take the road with Rabbie’s again.

wonderful overview of northern ireland and north ireland recommended for all those interested in Irish history and landscape

My husband and I just returned from a Rabbie’s tour - Northern Ireland & the Atlantic Coast. We left from Dublin with Gabriel. It was a very interesting, informative and fun tour. Gabriel was an excellent driver and was quite the story teller. He taught us all about Irelands history and also gave great recommendations for each town we stayed in. This is my third Rabbie’s tour and we have loved all three. We leave on another tour in Ireland, on Sunday, followed by one in Scotland and then the Lake District in England. I highly recommend Rabbie’s!

16 seater van, Driver who is also the tour guide. Easy travel to various attractions, drop-off and pick-up in front of your hotel, adequate time for coffee/bath breaks. Even if it is only in English, Great Tour. Positive note: Travel companions from Australia , USA and Canada. The only negative note: Air conditioning a little low as a temperature.

First time here for my family, had a great time. Stephen our driver did a great job making sure we got to see everything we wanted to see and all the hidden gems too.

This was the second Rabbie's tour of Ireland that my mom and I went on (the first was 5 days in the Southwest in September 2024) and they were both amazing! Our driver this time was Mark, and he was funny, informative, patient, and helpful at answering any questions he had. He also set up a group chat for everyone on the tour and used it to share pictures, links to stories about places we were visiting, movie recommendations, and menus for restaurants he recommended. The tour itself was wonderful - northwest Ireland is absolutely stunning and feels different from the rest of the country, which I didn't anticipate. And being in Northern Ireland, so steeped in history, was fascinating. This tour went to places that are less visited than a lot of what we saw in the southwest in the fall, so they were more peaceful (at times we were the only vehicle on the road!) but just as beautiful and awe-inspiring. I will always look for Rabbie's tours whenever I visit countries they operate in, and recommend them to others as well. Thanks for another great trip!

I embarked on a 9 day tour. We had 2 drivers during the course of the trip. Our first driver Mark was outstanding. Through the journey he shared endless stories on general Ireland, places we visited, music. It was a well rounded few days. I loved how Mark played song relating to the region we visited. He was excellent at suggesting places to explore and places to eat. Our second driver was John. John was very welcoming and shared stories, very accomodating and providing tips on places. Enjoyed the points of interest and accomodation.

My wife and I took this tour end of April 2025. We had Gabriel as our driver. We sat right behind his seat for five days. We drove him crazy, but he gave us the time of our lives. Gabriel is fantastic!
