I'm really happy I was able to experience the hot-air-balloon ride, it was one of those once in a lifetime things for me. The weather was beautiful, the view was nice, and the captain did a great job interacting with everyone. With that being said there were some issues, and if you read other reviews you shouldn't be surprised since they provide some awareness. My pickup time was 3:15am at the Star Casino, and there was no problem there, everyone was on time, and driver was on time. However, we waited there another 25 minutes or so because the driver didn't have a launch location. After sitting and waiting the driver got a call to move to another spot about 15 to 20 minutes away. At this spot we waited again another 15 to 20 minutes (maybe more) for the launch location which the driver eventually got. Moving to the launch location took us at least another 35 minutes. The whole point of the early pickup is so that the group is up in the hot-air-balloon before the sunrise, so we can see it from the air, which is their big advertisement. However, as we were driving the sun was rising and it was obvious that we weren't going to be up in the air for the sunrise view. When we got to the launch location the balloon was there, but it was still deflated and the crew was still working to get things ready. We waited another 30min or more for the balloon to be ready and everyone to be loaded aboard. By this time the sun had been up for some time. Once we got in the air it was awesome, and the views were nice. The unfortunate thing about the flight, aside from not seeing the sunrise, is that we did not fly over the Coast we flew over farmland. The flight was still nice, it just would have been nicer to be able to fly over the Coast. I'm not sure why we didn't, it really was a beautiful clear day for it. Anyway the flight was awesome, the basket in my opinion wasn't too crowded, I had plenty of room. When we landed, it was a nice smooth landing. However, we landed in a field of high grass and cow poop. The cow poop attracted a hoard of flies that were extremely annoying, and since we had to help with packing up the balloon we could get away from them. Eventually we got the balloon packed up and were able to head back to the bus. It took us about 35minutes to get back to the Star Casino for the 5 star breakfast, and I will say it was definitely a 5 star breakfast, very good with lots of breakfast variety. We got there in plenty of time, and I personally didn't have to rush eating. If the Casino is not your drop off spot, you maybe rushed, if you have to get back on the bus, I didn't. The crew will take pictures that they send to you, but the ones they took on the ground weren't that good in my opinion. The whole purpose of the experience is the balloon ride, the pictures we received didn't get the whole balloon, just you standing in front of the basket. Better to make sure you take your own, if you want as some of you standing with the whole balloon inflated in the background. There were issues, but I still really did enjoy the experience. However, although I would recommend this experience, I wouldn't recommend this company as a first choice to do it, they just don't seem organized in my opinion. If they fit your schedule, and you really want to do it, go for it, just be aware that you have a chance of missing the sunrise from the air, and going over the Coast, which are key parts of the experience as it's advertised. You will enjoy the champagne breakfast, if you get back at a reasonable time before they close the buffet or before you have to get back on the bus.

What an amazing experience!! I have always wanted to go hot air ballooning since I was a child and yesterday that dream finally came true. Booked for my Birthday weekend, unfortunately I was cancelled due to rain however we rescheduled it to this past weekend and boy was it worth the wait. Chris our pilot was great too and certainly made the flight smooth and informative the entire time. We were a bit anxious in the beginning but it was probably one of the best experiences I have ever done. Take off and landing we seamless. The breakfast was delicious too and a nice treat afterwards. Thank you so much Balloon Aloft - I have already recommended you to others.

I was really looking forward to it, but I was a bit disappointed. I had booked the hot air balloon ride on Monday for Thursday ,because my weather app said then was the best weather. I was called on Tuesday and asked if I wanted to move the date forward to Wednesday because the weather was apparently much better on Wednesday. I stayed with Thursday and was glad when I saw that on Wednesday the weather was not so good. On Wednesday I was called again and asked how long I will stay because the weather on Thursday is not so good and it would be better to postpone to a sunny day. I agreed-although the weather app had given sun for Thursday. So they postponed me until Saturday because the weather should be very good and this day was the last chance for me to do this hot air balloon ride. As it turned out, the weather was good on Thursday. On Friday just before 4pm I was called again and asked if I would like to postpone the appointment as it would have reported rain on Saturday. I said no, I couldn't move anymore. As the weather app predicted, the weather was great on Saturday morning and there was a nice sunrise and no rain in sight. When I saw that the hot air balloon ride on Thursday had taken place anyway and the weather was also good, I was already a bit annoyed. There were 23 other people in the basket and it was very tight. In my opinion, it was crowded and I couldn't enjoy it as much as I constantly had some elbow in a rib. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast which could be booked for an extra charge was really great. There was a wide selection and it was very delicious. I was glad I booked the refundable option (+20 dollars ), then I would have gotten the money back if they had cancelled.

Wonderful crew created an amazing experience. Crew helped every step of the way and were very caring to all the guests particularly the ones struggling with snorkeling and scuba diving activities.

Please don’t book any activities with Balloon Aflot and most importantly don’t book it with Chris, very rude super duper rude bloke. He was super duper rude with all the asian clients including us. It was just a waste of our time and money. On top of that that rude pilot landed over a wet land which ruined our clothes and shoes. Please don’t book. Please. Chris, please retire buddy. It’s not your kind of job.

The whole experience was 5 star- breath taking views,got amazing photos. I'm scared of heights so wasn't sure how I'd go but I was fine with this - the basket was high n I felt secure. Definitely recommend this company - hats off to Paco our amazing pilot and crew Gary and Nick. Thankyou guys for the awesome morning !! PS breakfast at the Star was great too - Julie and Ben

The minibus was old and cramped and very full. At 5 ft 10 my legs couldn't fit in my seat. As other reviews state this was not a coastal flight. Before getting on to bus I asked the driver where are we headed and how long will it take. He said he didn't know. I already assumed as per other reviews we would head 60km inland and we did with one stop at dirty public toilets. Peaceful and calm flight but over barren desert farm land nowhere near coast. Pilot and bus driver both evasive when asked how often they fly over the coast. I suspect never and images of coast and advertising statements are just lies. Upon returning champagne was offered at buffet breakfast but group dining experience in back corner of a crowded buffet was not 5* experience at all. Ballon was packed to maximum capacity. Once in a lifetime experience and if I had read reviews before booking I would have chosen somewhere much more scenic to do it.

It was great peaceful and stunning views . Tour guid was great and breakfast. Good was a great experience. Thanks to our pilot and tour bus and the rest of the crew.

It was a early morning start we were picked up at 4.15 am from our hotel A total of 24 people max go up in a balloon divided into 4 compartment the balloon took off at about 6 just at sunrise The view was nice and the breakfast served was very good One only wished the drive time could be shorter

Absolutely fantastic. Worth getting up super early in the am. Very seemless from start to finish. Had a great driver Bill, very friendly, easy to understand and a great driver. Our balloon pilot was Chris and he was fantastic, very friendly also and very knowledgeable on our flight about where the landmarks were and places of interest. The 'takeoff' and 'landing' was about as smooth as you could get being in a wicker basket attached to a giant balloon !! Loved that we got to help deflate and pack up the balloon (totally voluntary). Breakfast at Star Casino was amazing, great variety and quality. Would totally recommend the flight and breakfast to anyone.
