We did the West Bank of Luxor and it was the most intense day of the whole trip. We started at the Valley of the Kings where you go down into the tombs and see the colors still bright after 3000 years. Then we went to Hatshepsut Temple which is carved into the mountain and looks like a modern building. The Colossi of Memnon were quick but impressive two giant statues standing alone in the field. Admission fee was extra for the tomb of Tutankhamun but we paid 500 pounds each to see it and it was worth it. Length of visit was about 5 hours total because there is so much to see. The atmosphere was hot and dusty but exciting like you are a real explorer. Crowd size was big at the main tombs but our guide Omar knew a less crowded tomb with amazing art. The staff included the tomb guards who let us take photos even when signs said no for a small tip. Best for couples who love deep history and don't mind walking. Our guide Omar told us a story about how Howard Carter found Tutankhamun's tomb after years of searching and how the water boy accidentally discovered the first step. That story gave me chills standing right there. The ship crew had cold water waiting for us when we came back exhausted but happy.

Karnak Luxor Temples End of Perfect Trip
I did the East Bank on the last day and it was the perfect ending. Karnak Temple is enormous you need hours just to walk through the hypostyle hall with 134 giant columns. The sound and light show there is amazing but we went during the day. Then we went to Luxor Temple which is smaller but more intimate and it connects to Karnak by the avenue of sphinxes. Admission fee was included in our cruise package for both temples. Length of visit was about 3 hours for Karnak and 1 hour for Luxor Temple. The atmosphere at Karnak felt powerful like you can sense how important this place was for ancient Egyptians. Crowd size was heavy near the main entrance but inside the hall it spread out. Staff from Egypt tours gateway arranged a private guide just for us and Omar was full of energy even on day five. Best for families because the scale of Karnak keeps kids amazed. A story I remember is when we saw a cat walking through the ruins and Omar said the ancient Egyptians believed cats carried divine energy. My daughter still talks about that temple cat. The ship was comfortable every night with clean rooms and good food. We checked out after lunch and felt sad to leave but happy we booked this trip.

Nile Cruise Business Relaxation Five Stars
We went on this cruise for business but it turned into a personal joy. The ship itself was modern with a pool on the top deck and a nice lounge area where we had our meetings. Sailing between Aswan and Luxor is so relaxing you forget about work. We saw the sunset over the Nile every evening from the deck. Admission fee for the whole cruise was very reasonable compared to hotels on land. Length of visit was 5 days total including Abu Simbel which is a long day but manageable. The atmosphere on the ship was professional yet friendly and we got a lot of work done in the mornings. Crowd size on the ship was about 40 people so not crowded at all. The staff including the waiters and housekeeping knew our names by day two. Our guide Omar was a historian and he gave us private lectures about each site before we arrived. Best for business travelers who want to mix work with culture. One funny story happened when my colleague left his laptop on the bus to Abu Simbel and Omar called the driver who turned back 20 kilometers to bring it. That level of service is rare anywhere. The company Egypt tours gateway handled every transfer perfectly and we never waited for anything. I highly recommend this for anyone traveling for work who wants a unique experience.

Nile Cruise Laughs Sunsets and Donkey Story
We have been on many trips but this Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor was special because of the little moments. One evening we docked near a small village and the call to prayer echoed across the water while we ate dinner on the deck. The next morning we visited a spice shop in Edfu and the owner let us smell everything. Admission fee for the cruise included all transport and most meals but we paid for drinks separately. Length of visit overall was 5 days and we wished it was longer. The atmosphere was laid back and welcoming like being with family. Crowd size on the ship was small only 35 people so we made friends quickly. The staff were mostly local Nubians who sang songs while cleaning the rooms. Our guide Omar was with us every day and he never got tired of our questions. Best for friends who want to laugh and learn together. A story that made us all cry laughing was when my friend tried to say thank you in Arabic and accidentally said a word that meant donkey. Omar laughed so hard he had to sit down. Then he taught us the right way and now we text each other shukran all the time. The ship had a small jacuzzi that we used after long days of walking. I will book with Egypt tours gateway again next year.
