Had an excellent time on the sunset boat tour! My partner and I booked this tour last minute and were pleasantly surprise. The group was smaller than the other boats which made it more intimate. The buffet was delicious and the drinks were unlimited, can’t get any better than that. Highly recommend!

We booked this sunset tour well in advance and unfortunately ended up scheduled on the only day of the week with a five-hour rainstorm. We asked the owner, Kelly, if we could reschedule, but were told no because his crew “does this all the time in this weather.” Just because they can operate in those conditions doesn’t mean they should. Looking back, I wish I had listened to my gut when Kelly told us, with a smile, “Oh no, I don’t go on the boat with you guys—I’m going home.” The conditions were rough. The waves were white-capping, several of us became seasick, and the amount of vomiting throughout the trip was hard to ignore. To make matters worse, the sail was broken, so the boat relied on small motors that didn’t seem suited for those conditions. Because of the heavy rain for most of the excursion, everyone was crowded into the small covered area at the back of the boat. The only bright spot was the crew onboard. They were friendly, professional, and did their best to make the experience enjoyable despite the circumstances. What made the situation even more frustrating was waking up the next day to the clearest, sunniest weather we had seen all week. Had we been allowed to reschedule—or had the boat and experience matched what was advertised—I might be writing a very different review. Instead, this felt like a company prioritizing revenue over customer experience. For an $1,800 excursion, that’s incredibly disappointing.
The staff told us it sprinkled an hour and was clear during swimming time onward? We do sail rain or shine though, but absolutely cancel if there are prolonged thunder showers...typically it rains an hour this time of year and passes by quickly. As far as rebooking, were booked solid until the end of your trip but do reschedule where possible if it makes a difference. We never go on the boat with the staff and guests...we manage the business in the office (re-stock, phone calls, accounting). We're working and immediately begin preparations for the next days tour, getting food containers back to the chef for cleaning, refilling water and gasoline jugs, picking up fresh fruit and veg etc....we have so much more we need to get accomplished and many obligations...All of the boats are booked solid in advance for weeks out most times. You just got unlucky and had a bit of rain that day, but we were well within safety perimeters for swell and wind, it's so warm here the rain isn't usually an issue. The boat is always powered by the motors and the sails go up if the wind is the perfect conditions (catamarans with our sail...a Genoa sail, can't tack, so the wind conditions have to be going the correct way and speed) the sails were fine...they just don't go up all the time or for the whole trip and that is exactly how all of the catamaran tour boats operate, we have a schedule to keep and a specific location to get to for swim/snorkel time, but always put the sails up wherever possible...it saves on gas and is more magical of course. The back half of the boat is covered and the boat is legally licensed for 30ppl, you were a private tour of 8ppl so there was definitely plenty of space. We are so sad you didn't enjoy your trip...Like I said, the rains typically don't last long here when they come through this time of year. To anyone else reading this review, always reach out to the owners if you have not enjoyed your trip for whatever reason, we really genuinely want you to be happy and will do what we can to make it right.
It was amazing trip! The crew was incredible always asking if we needed anything. The dinner was yummy and the boat was nice! Definitely would recommend!

Everyone was so welcoming and kind to me as a solo traveler! I made so many friends and I’d do it all over again. We also got lucky enough to see some dolphins

Excellent charter experience. The crew are fun and welcoming. The owner ( a bit of trivia… ask him what episode of House Hunter International did he and his wife star in!) was kind and excited for his new adventure and business! When we saw the dolphins the crew stopped the boat so we could swim alongside of them. They went above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable trip. The boat itinerary was fun and amazing. We saw dolphins, fish, starfish, rays, beautiful water, and enjoyed a well prepared lunch, then on to sunset !

I had an amazing time on this catamaran trip! The boat crew was very welcoming, making the experience even better. The service was top-notch; they served plenty of drinks, fresh fruit, and a lovely dinner. I’d recommend booking with them; the experience is worth it :)

This is a booze cruise - a bunch of teenagers over drinking and taking over the boat. Photos show a nice family atmosphere but that was not the case. We expected a “sunset cruise” as advertised and instead music blaring, nowhere to sit, and an overcrowded boat with teenagers staggering drunk by the end. My wife had a drink thrown on her. Viator denied our refund because they said it was not advertised as family friendly though one-year olds can sign up and photos show families on a tranquil boat. If Viator would like to reach out and offer refund, happy to discuss.
My husband noted that you were unhappy at check-in when you noticed there were young adults going on the tour...it is an all ages public tour, open to the public. Im a mother of 4 absolutely lovely, kind, caring young adults aged 19-24 myself and they can be excitable but never a problem, my staff confirmed this also. We do advertise an open bar, we are the most family friendly option being the smallest group charter boat makes it a less hectic option, the alternative is the same but with 60ppl to 90ppl. Typically being a smaller boat keeps it more chill...but every day is different on the public tour! The legal drinking age here is 18...My staff say it was an absolutely fantastic tour and everyone was happy except you. I wish you had chosen not to take the tour once it was obvious you were upset from the get go with young adults being on the boat with you. We are unable to judge ppl at check-in based on age... This is a PUBLIC tour and we cannot control what the age of ppl are who book.... but we absolutely cut anyone off if they get out of hand or will step in if there is a problem, we rarely have a problem, people are here on vacation and generally want to have a great time and meeting new people no matter their age is always part of the adventure. It was confirmed no one "threw" a drink on your wife...someones drink tipped over, the boat is constantly in motion on the waves...if you have a dry cleaning bill we are happy to cover it. Sorry you didn't like that there were some younger people on your public tour...if you approach every scenario with an open heart and mind....you might find you've been missing out on meeting and engaging with all kinds of amazing wonderful people...no matter their age. We hope you have a safe trip home.
Absolutely would do it again. We had fun swimming. The food was good. They were a laid back crew. We went with friends and our daughter and had a great time.

This group is very organized. They took good care of us.I don't drink so they had water and soda. The catamaran needs a little work, but I felt safe. Everyone was much younger than me, but I enjoyed the contrast.
Hello, so glad you had a great time! Yes every year about this time the boat gets one of two refreshers (the other and larger beautification happens in October)...you have hit us the last days of high season, and what a beautifully busy high season it was. She's getting her semi-annual beautification (touch up paint etc) next week. A man right before you left a review (literally hours before your post) and said the boat was in beautiful shape...it is touch-up time though. Glad you enjoyed the trip, come visit again soon!
