Amazing trip with a really funny, informative guide (Andrea) who really did strike a nice balance between being informative and letting us have some free time to take in the views. Each Island is unique with its own fascinating story. There is a lot of walking, so I would suggest this is better suited to people who are able to walk comfortably for longer durations. My impression is September may be quiet season which was great for no crowds but on the flip side all the cafes are closed bar the last Island (Langoyene) so my advice would be to bring plenty of snacks and water, albeit the tour guide did give out water and a sandwich. The ferry also sells small cups of machine coffee. Overall I am super happy we did this trip which is just a short distance from the Oslo city centre.

Your tips for future guests are helpful. There is quite a bit of walking, and many island cafés close for the season in September, so bringing an extra snack is a good idea. We’re so glad you enjoyed discovering the islands, just a short trip from the city centre!

Enjoyable and scenic tour
Fantastic trip. Our guide Phillip was funny and accommodating to all the tour guests. He was engaging and gave us some interesting insights to modern Norwegian history. The islands themselves were all different and charming. Excellent value for money on this tour. Would highly recommend.

Lovely, leisurely day on the Oslofjords
Really good 6-hour tour of five islands outside Oslo proper. Andreas was a wonderful guide—so knowledgeable and personable, and also mindful of our stops and transport. Water and nice sandwich included. A lovely day.

Walking Tour - potential not fully realized
Visiting the 5 islands off Oslo is highly recommended. Unfortunately, our tour guide preferred making flippant remarks instead of sharing interesting facts. We found that very disappointing and would have preferred it otherwise.
