Very interesting excursion, enchanting landscapes, and a guide who was very attentive to the people and also very nice.

I signed up for this many months ago. As the week arrived the tour operator contacted me by text to ask for a date change. He was easy to work with and worked to accommodate me as I had a tight schedule but it was moved to a day agreeable to all. We had a great excursion and the bikes worked like champs up the LONG and steep hills. Almost effortless. We had enjoyable stops and the focaccia snacks were delicious. The weather was hot but in the shade just perfect. Mateo was very nice and attentive to the group of 6. He was informative. Would recommend!

Extremely poorly managed tour. E bikes not strong enough to safely and adequately ascend the steep, twisty narrow, dangerous roads. Instructions inadequate for how challenging and dangerous this tour really is. Guide left us to fend for ourselves while he took off with the rest of the group many who were also struggling to follow him. The roads around this area are very challenging to say the least no matter what vehicle you are driving (even walking) and very unsafe with the extremely narrow passageways along sheer cliffs. We have owned and ridden e bikes for 20 years (of all kinds) and am very familiar with how they work. The e bikes we were given simply would not climb the demand of the very steep terrain (no matter what gear you were in) and if you had to stop as was the case many times on these steep hillsides to allow cars to pass or to avoid other obstacles, it was basically impossibly to get our ebikes to adequately be able to start up again and to manage to ascend from a start stop position. The bikes are just not able to handle these steep inclines and the very narrow crowded roadways. It's not a matter that we didn't know how to ride an ebike, it was a matter that the ebikes that were given to us were struggling to go up these steep cliffside mountainous roads fast enough to maintain any speed to safely maneuver through complete chaos on these narrow twisty roads. I wanted to request a refund based on the fact that it wasn't our choice to not to be able to participate with this e bike tour, it was an impossibility to successfully participate based on the equipment that was provided to us. The ridiculous slow speed of these ebikes up the hills were too slow to safely manage the obstacles that we had to try and pass to continue with the tour. The guide was so far ahead of us at all times it was also not very well run as far as safety and inclusion in the bike path. We had no idea which direction he even turned as we were beginning our tour because he was so far ahead of us. I can honestly say that especially because we own ebikes and ride them often and have also done many other ebike tours on vacations around the world, this ebike tour was not only extremely disappointing but to be honest, it was so unsafely managed by the local tour company. I fell and hurt my my entire right side. This happened in the first few minutes of the tour and because my ebike couldn't get the speed it needed to ascend up these hills I had to turn back. The tour guide did show up and just kept telling me that my bike was working good. It was clearly not. Same with 2 other people in my group as their ebikes also were acting the same way. We had no choice but discontinue with the tour mainly because of our safety and that the bikes would not allow us to get up these steep hills. I also think this type of tour should have a guide at the back of the group, too, since the narrow twisty steep roads are so extremely difficult to manage (even with well working equipment) with all their twists and turns that when the guide was at the front of our group, he couldn't see what was happening with us at the back and we couldn't even see where he was going because he was out of site. I understand another person in this group also fell on our tour. I deserve a refund based on the fact that we were forced to abandon using bikes that did not allow us to participate in this tour safely but there is no place for me to even voice my opinion to Viator of how dissatisfied we were this this terrible experience. Even though people did manage to complete this tour, I am just honestly telling you of how bad of an experience we had and how poorly managed this tour was for us. In my opinion the tour needs to be managed much more safely with more complete understanding of the rough terrain involved in the tour and the tour company needs to provide working e bikes that allow you to successfully manage this rough terrain. There also needs to be 2 guides to safely manage a group though these very steep narrow roadways. To say the least we were very disgusted and dissatisfied with this tour and anyone thinking of trying it should be aware that you may get ebikes that will not handle the terrain necessary to safely manage this terrain. Safety should be the number one issue offered by a tour company and I feel that this was completely lacking.

Mateo is an excellent guide and host! Beautiful scenery and fun way to see and learn a bit about the history of Cinque Terre. I highly recommend!

You should know how to operate an electric bike. The views are amazing and Matteo is an excellent guide and provides great historical information about the area.

I really enjoyed this adventure. A totally different way to see the Cinque Terre and get away from the crowds. I would say you don’t need to be in good shape (the e-bikes take care of that) but you should be pretty comfortable on a bike because the downhills are fast and the overall pace is steady. However, the guide does wait for all to catch up. Focaccia and wine were a nice touch near the end.

A very fun and beautiful E-bike tour of Cinque Terre with William! Loved experiencing the breath taking views of Cinque Terre via bike. Also loved the focaccia and wine at a beautiful ocean view. William was a great guide and very fun!

Challenging ride but worth every pedal to see the best views of Cinque Terre. Matteo was a great guide and balanced the multiple languages and skill levels of the group. We learned the history and difference of each town while having fun and enjoying the views.
