次は、イメロヴィリ村へ進みます。イメロヴィリ村は、より多くの写真をスナップするのに理想的なスポットです。 ガイドが町の中心部へと案内し、その建築を説明し、カルデラの崖の上にそびえ立つ美しいブルードームの大聖堂やホテルを案内します。 イメロヴィリは保存された伝統的な集落であるため、建物の建築様式は変わっていない。 建造物は主にキクラデス様式で、主に地元のフィラ様式である。 現在、イメロヴィリはサントリーニ島で最も発展した観光地のひとつであり、一流のホテルやレストラン、その他の店舗が世界中で年間数万人が訪れる。
オイアはサントリーニで最も有名な村である。 火山の後ろの青い海に太陽が沈む独特の夕日が世界的に知られています。 町はカルデラの北約120メートルにあり、この狭い島の西から東の海岸まで広がっている。

イメロヴィリを訪れた後は、サントリーニの最高峰の頂上にある預言者イリアス修道院へ。 島とエーゲ海を一望できます。 プロフィティス・イリアス山は島の最高地点であり、ピルゴス村から5キロメートル未満である。 その頂上には同名の修道院が建っている。 1711年に遡る、島最古のプロフィティス・イリアス修道院は、キクラデス建築の驚くべき最盛期の例である。

Alex and Kenzel were a great team and gave a wonderful tour. Alex was knowledgeable, considerate of varying physical limitations, and funny. Alex was a safe driver and shared his knowledge of cooking with us. Kenzel was easy to understand. My only negative was that one family was over an hour late to arrive and we all were kept waiting. There should be a published policy of how long the tour will wait before leaving and an hour or more was too long. It extended the tour past the time it was supposed to be done however we did very much enjoy the tour.

We joined a 3-hour afternoon tour with our family and had a great experience. Elias was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer our questions about Santorini and its history. We visited some beautiful viewpoints, explored a few lesser-known spots, and enjoyed an incredible sunset. The wine-tasting stop was also a nice addition to the tour. Elias made sure we had enough time at each location and shared useful tips for the rest of our stay on the island. A well-organized tour with a great guide. The town at the top of the gondola or donkey ride was full of quaint hotels, restaurants, walking areas, and shops. People were amazing. We also saw the town of Eia ( a must visit too) along with some amazing churches, vineyards at Megalohori, and plenty of time to freelance walk around and see the city. Had lunch a delicious/ picturesque lunch at Mario along the beach for an improvised event. So glad we did the tour. Our guide and driver were outstanding.

We didn't rent a car but wanted to as much as possible while we were here. We were shown the major towns and decided which one we wanted to go back to the next day on our own.
