I went there with the Costour company. What a beautiful place! We enjoyed horse riding, ziplining, thermal baths, water slide and coffee presentation. We were even allowed guides in French. That was great!
I want to start with our driver, Alberto. He was so informative and knowledgeable about Costa Rica. The tour overall was absolutely filled with beauty and thrills! Everyone we came in contact with was friendly. The buffet food was delicious, with the juice of the day being the cherry on top for this trip. Highly recommended!
Lots of fun, water tubing was by far the best part and our tour guide was very informative and even took us to get coconuts.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience while celebrating a bachelorette weekend. Our guides throughout the activities were fun and helpful up the hill on horseback and throughout the zip line trail. The cultural portion of the tour was interesting as well and we enjoyed learning about coffee, sugar cane and Costa Rican liquor. Maymo, our driver was fantastic. He showed us views of several sites, beaches and taught us about Costa Rican culture. He also gave us a Spanish lesson and made sure we had time to shop for coffee and souvenirs.

Gabriel was the best tour guide ever!!! We had him for your horseback riding/ tubing/ zip lining/ hot springs and then we asked for him again!!
This was an amazing experience. Guillermo was a fantastic guide. We really enjoyed talking to him and learned so much about Costa Rica from him. And the 4 in 1 experience was unforgettable. The tubing was exhilarating yet relaxing, the ziplining was unmatched, and there could have been no better way to unwind than by unwinding in the hot springs at the end
Thought we would be in hot springs and see a waterfall The hikes to the areas was not say The river wasn’t high enough for tubing Never seen one animal besides a anteater Bring your own water Then as the driver was speed racing through the rain we get stuck in flood water Very disappointed
Hi Darnise, Thank you for your review. We are a small family owned business who offers personalized service. I reached out to you (as I always do) to discuss the tour you booked to make sure it was what you wanted, but messages remained unanswered. The tour you booked does not mention waterfalls, it is not part of this tour and they are not mentioned anywhere. You must have thought this was part of it but confused it with another tour. This is a 4 in 1 adventure tour including horse back riding, tubing, zipline and hot springs. You have spent time in the hot springs, it is part of the day. As you mentioned yourself, there was rain, therefore raising the water levels... having done this tour myself multiple times, it does happen here and there that we hit a rock, but it is normal being in a natural river and not a water park. We do not offer this tour as an animal sighting tour, this part of Rincon de la Vieja has a tropical dry climate and does not allow for many animals sighting. Animal sighting was not mentioned in the tour description. As for the driver speed racing, this is not the truth. Our driver has been working 5 years with us and is very trustworthy and caring as you must have seen yourself. It is sad that you attack him here. There was flood in Liberia, meteorological advisory was in effect. These were not normal circumstances and would call for a bit of understanding. Our driver did his best and unfortunately, water damage happened and we reacted quickly to get you home safe and within the normal return time. Also, yes, for environmental reasons, we have decided not to give out plastic water bottles. We are in a country that lives thanks to its natural wonders, we have pledged to help preserve those. Our contact message also describes what essentials you need to bring and a water bottle is mentioned.
Great tour! Worth the money. Our favorite part was zip-lining. Tubing was fun as well. We saw people of all ages participating and having a great time. Lunch wasn’t great but nice that it’s included. Beautiful property and friendly & knowledgeable staff.
Costours was absolutely amazing! The 4-in-1 adventure package was such a wonderful experience. It’s truly the do it all package. Our guide, Memo, was so accommodating, fun, and knowledgeable. The horseback riding, zip lining, and the tubing at Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin was fantastic. The horses were super well trained, the tubing and zip lining was facilitated by an excellent team to ensure your safety. The tour ended with the hot springs which was the perfect ending to the day. We also used Costours for our airport transportation and they’re always on time, prompt and extremely friendly. Highly recommend the Costours team! Pura Vida!
