Do not book. Caution!!!! Horrible experience. I used Viator to book this trip and received a message from The Mzansi Experience. From the start, the communication and service were poor. It was disorganized and far below expectations. I wouldn’t recommend this experience to anyone looking for a smooth and enjoyable trip.

Fantastic safari and experience. The transfer to and from OR Tambo airport was seamless and easy. Driver was friendly and accommodating of people's requests for stops along the way. Kruger Lodge, the accommodation, was lovely. Big huts, swimming pool and a nice simple menu catering for all. Lovely friendly staff at the Lodge. And the safari.... Absolutely wonderful! Saw the big 4 (minus rhino) but got to see rhino's at a service station stop! And the panorama route... Absolutely breathtaking! My 2nd time doing this experience and would do it again!

The tour was great value it included bed Breakfast and dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful at Kruger Safari lodge. The cottage we styaed in was older style rodavel. It was dated however the bathroom beds and servicingg were good. Meals were plain . There were boxed breakfasts for our Safaril drives in a packed box. The drawbacks were the long day Safari drive. Starting at 530 am and going to 4.00pm These were long and tiring especially if you had flown a long international flight. I suggest you take a couple of days to recover before taking the tour. The safari vehicles are noy easily accesed, noisy cold in the mornings and the long day is tiring. The experince of seeing the animals makes up for The lodge is generally older style The value is there if you do not mind a liitle inconvenience The drive to the lodge from O Tambo is 5 hours. A budget friendly tour.

The trip was well-organised and all ran according to plan. The accommodation and food was excellent, and the safaris were an amazing experience. The Panorama tour was also excellent, even if the weather didn't cooperate.

I loved the tour! I would advice that for the Panorama route, if it rains the night before or the same day don't waste your day because everything will be foggy and you won't see a thing, you can talk with the reception of the lodge (adventure lodge) and ask them to go on a full day safari instead. I paid for an extra night safari and the morning safari on the last day, both affordable and thrilling. This is one of the experiences that bring tears to your eyes, seeing the African animals roaming free it's just indescribable. The only issue that I had was the rudeness of one of the waitresses at the lodge as she apparently didn't like her job. But the rest was just perfect, 100% recommended!

I did the four day Kruger National Park and Panorama Route tour. Positives - clear and regular communication from Mzansi about what to expect, itinerary, meeting point for shuttle, what to bring. Very prompt and exhaustive responses to queries - shuttle operated by Safari Link from Joburg airport to Perry's bridge and for the return journey from Perry's bridge to Joburg airport was very comfortable. - I stayed in Kruger Adventure Lodge, which is a nice property, it felt safe throughout - Kruger Park is beautiful, we saw plenty of giraffes, elephants, impalas, hippos, a couple of lions. Did not however see rhino or leopards. We went for an evening safari and a full day one. Improvement areas - For me food was a dampener, as I am vegan. Kruger Adventure Lodge have low to zero sensitivity or the desire to understand about the needs of vegan tourists. It required a lot of sensitization and repeated requests and escalations and things improved from about late day 2 onwards. Until then I was really, really low on food. Mzansi had assured me of vegan food and hence I had not carried food with me (I had just returned from the Garden route tour before this, where I was provided with a lavish amount of vegan food); it's certainly a learning for me for the future to be more prepared when travelling in locations where the awareness about vegan food is low. - Probably the biggest let down was the quality of the guides on the safaris. 1/ to start with was the vehicle which was very uncomfortable and very noisy. It was therefore not merely a coincidence that we didn't see any leopards after over ten hours on the road. A leopard is an elusive animal and is easily driven away by such deafening noise. 2/ the quality of the guide cum driver SAN parks are known all over the world for the high standards of their guides, and the quality of the guides on this tour was abysmal. Even during safari tours in lesser known parks in other parts of the world, I have felt enriched by the passion, insights, personal stories, info about the animals, their habitats, peculiarities, biological characteristics etc. The guides on this tour however struggled to communicate in English which is fully understandable but the issue is that they were also very conscious about it. Thus they shared some meagre info but were very restrained. The guide on day 1, for the sunset evening drive had a friend from the lodge join the drive, he was sitting with the guide in the front and almost throughout they were chatting. I normally see guides attentive, looking at both sides all the time so they don't miss an animal or sound. This was a unique experience for me where a guide cum driver was chatting away on a safari. In contrast, the guide cum driver on my Addo tour refused to let anyone sit with him in the front, because he wanted a clear view both sides. Not surprising that in a matter of two hours we saw four of the big 5 on the Addo tour. On day 2, I consciously chose to sit in the vehicle where there was a different guide than the one on day 1, and they were equally, or even more lacking in passion and drive. Both the guides (on days 1 and 2) generally drove looking straight ahead most of the time not even looking on either side and if we tourists saw anything or they saw any obviously visible animals, they stopped. I did not see much concerted effort to find the big cats. - there was hardly any discussion about birds, and I have no reason to believe birds should be ignored. Kruger is known for its bird life as much as it is for animal life - the guides have clear lack of passion for their job, perhaps they are overworked? This may not necessarily be a reflection on Mzansi experience, after all, they just seem to be aggregators who get the bus company (Safari Link), the hotel lodge (Kruger Adventure Lodge) on one booking page and facilitate a booking. It is Kruger Adventure Lodge that arranges the guides and the vehicle. There were others on my vehicle from other tour aggregators and they all had similar itinerary. Thus if you are particular about these aspects I mentioned, look for booking them separately after sufficient research rather than book via any safari aggregator.

Amazing from the beginning to the end. Nice communication they were there before during and after the tours they are very nice. I didn’t see lions but that part of the games I guess I have to go back. Would still pick Mzansi tours if I go back. You won’t be despointed !

We had a great ranger, Michael, very knowledgeable and competent, thanks to whom we were able to see the big five, as well as the big ugly five.

Cailyn was my contact at Mzansi, she answered all my emails with such speed that shocked me, one email was replied to in 10 mins, on a Sunday!!! Pickup was OR Tambo airport 7am prompt in the morning for the long drive to Kruger arriving at 11:30 leaving time for lunch and settling in before first Game Drive at 3:30pm Room at Kruger Adventure Lodge in Hazyview was a Rondavel type building, extremely large, very comfortable, quiet, clean with a small safe with key. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was nice. Breakfast, Dinner and the Game Drives and the Panorama Route Tour were all included in the price of the tour. The Game Drives were unbelievable, within 10 mins of entering Kruger NP on our first one (sharing a big jeep with 4 others) with came across a coalition of Cheetah brothers stalking a herd of Impala, literally 5 feet from our jeep. These are such rare animals to see, I asked my guide/tracker when he had last seen 1 cheetah and he said 1 year and when he had seen 3 together was 4 years before this. So we were so so lucky to see these most beautiful of cats. During all my Game Drives I saw everything except Leopards which I had seen in India before so was not too disappointed! Sadly the trip on the Panorama Route had terrible weather (dense dense fog) and also a general strike at the attractions so we made a decision to abandon after lunch and then I paid to do another game drive when we arrived back at the lodge. I had a fantastic time, one of my best travel experiences ever and I will NEVER forget it and can't wait to return! I high recommend The Mzansi Experience travel!

I am glad that I picked this tour and operator. Leon was answering promptly to all my questions before I booked. Believe me, I asked a lot of questions. My tour was exactly like in the itinerary, all transportation and activities. I was alone but I felt always safe and secure. Stuff at the lodge, drivers, guides were so great. They made my experience there as breathtaking. Great job! Thank you !
